Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Budva - the hotel had everything we needed from plentiful and varied breakfast to clean and functional room and the absolute best location right next to the Old Town. Seriously above-and-beyond service from Ilijah on the concierge desk and generally every request was met with efficiency and a smile. The two pools are fabulous - the villa pool is so relaxing and the views are stunning. Highly recommended.

This is a great hotel in a fabulous location. We have just stayed here for 8 nights with my husband and two teens. The pool is amazing and the views are stunning. The recent reviews are not reflective of our experience of the staff at all – they were always on hand to provide drinks and snacks around the pool whenever required, sometimes you did have to go to the bar area rather than grab them walking around. Food and drinks are on the pricey side (£8.50 for two small cans of beer), but it’s a hotel so this was as expected. It has its own pebbled beach and beachfront restaurants with watersports activities, and you can walk just 5 minutes along the coastline to sandy beaches too. We were upgraded to a villa upon arrival. The villa was clean, tidy and serviced every day. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was ok there was enough variety for everyone and served until 10.30am. The location is perfect, directly opposite the Old Town, which is filled with places to eat and drink, and only a couple of minutes' walk from the marina. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The recent negative reviews seem unfair based on our experience. If you're considering booking this hotel, don't be put off by some of the recent comments. We had a fantastic family holiday and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended

We are currently staying at Avala Resort & Villas, and unfortunately, our experience with customer service has been disappointing. Our room is for two guests, but it only had one teaspoon. I called reception, who transferred me to room service. Room service told me they would charge €4 to bring a teaspoon because we were not ordering food or drinks. They then said it was housekeeping’s responsibility. Since there was no housekeeping number available, I called reception again. Instead of solving the issue, I was told to go and get a spoon myself from the beach bar, as “every hotel has its own policy.” I explained that a room for two guests should reasonably have two teaspoons and that I shouldn’t have to call three different departments or walk around the hotel looking for basic cutlery. No spoon was ever brought. This is a very small issue, but it’s the way it was handled that is disappointing. A basic request should not require multiple phone calls or become the guest’s responsibility. I hope the hotel improves its customer service and communication between departments.

This hotel is in the most perfect location just outside of the walls of Budva Old Town. A 2 min stroll and you are at the marina then onto the promenade lined with restaurants and bars. There is a bar next door to the beach that plays music quite loud so if you're a light sleeper at night ear plugs maybe of benefit but it wasn't open very late and didnt affect me. On arrival, Maria noticed during check in that it was my birthday. I had booked a standard room with a mountain view as a solo traveller; she upgraded me to a sea view! What a lovely gesture and surprise. The view was amazing over the beach. Thank you Maria. The staff on reception, concierge and in the restaurant are super friendly, helpful and polite; the staff at the beach don't seem to be as smiley and welcoming though when ordering drinks. The spa area is a great addition. The outside pool is very unique jutting out into the water Breakfast was superb, a whole array of fresh food. I booked B&B so unable to comment on lunch and dinner but judging by breakfast I imagine good. I am glad I chose Avala and would absolutely stay again if I returned. Highly recommended.

First the service is TERRIBLE! Not a smile once in 4 days from any of the staff!! The reception is slow and unpleasant, the cleaning is awful they are didn’t clean the room once!! They just change the towels even after complaining they are totally disregarded you and not even bother to care! No service at the pool, none of the waiter or staff member were helpful or pleasant! The hotel furniture is outdated everything feels old and damaged The beds are NOT comfortable at all with just a sheet on it and a small blanket in the closet. And we upgraded to a villas not even a standard room and still they didn’t care about us as client, trust me this is definitely NOT a 5 star hotel! The breakfast is fair… nothing really good or fresh! Not fresh fruits at all, not omelette station or barista option SO SO BAD!! Will not come back here ever!!
