Hotel Aleksandar

I had the pleasure, and good fortune, to stay in this wonderful hotel, which was close to the beach and a short walk to the characterful old town. The apartments are set in within 'village-like grounds' with mini courtyards and lots of green spaces. There is a shop within the complex which is handy; the food served in the restraunt is excellent and the staff are attentive, polite and courteous.😊 Upon my arrival I was greeted at reception by a member of staff, called Peter (English translation) , who kindly showed me to my room. Peter was warm and friendly and most helpful, he told me about places to visit and where I could catch the local transport. He is truly a credit to the team and gave a very good first impression of the hotel. A special thanks to the staff who cleaned and maintained my room, they did a first class job. I had one of the best holidays ever!! I have recommended the hotel , and beautiful Montenegro, to all of my friends and work colleagues. I will definitely be back. Thanks once again for a wonderful holiday. 😊

Not really a hotel more like a motel, we came all inclusive but a strange set up, food was ok but a strange selection like Brussels and chips with breakfast. Room was nice and clean but faced the pool which would normally be good. It appears that the hotel has lots of events so we had to endure 4 days of pumping loud hard house music for up to 12 hours a day, until midnight on Saturday, you couldn’t relax by the pool or even have windows open and even with windows closed it was so loud, really spoilt or holiday. Also an open air night club just outside the front of hotel grounds which closed in October but I think could be an issue in summer as it closes at 4am. If you want to relax don’t come here.

Location is excellent so close to old town which is very vibrant and relaxing at the same time, has a really lovely atmosphere, we had a lovely room 2531 had bedroom and lounge area 2 bathrooms although we only used one but if room was for 4 2nd bathroom would have been a welcome addition. Room had a lovely balcony with view over the bar and complex which was fine for us, on our last night after 10 days of glorious sun there was an electric storm which we watched from our balcony with much pleasure. We would like to say say thank you to all the staff in the restaurant who work really hard especially to Vujkovic Kristen’s Reshmi and Ravi both were very friendly and always had a smile. Staff in the restaurant were really polite and helpful, was really nice to see chef out in the restaurant making sure all was as should be. Food on the whole very good is a bit much same each day but all inclusive is what you expect there are a lot of people to please so we thank you ticked all the boxes thank you. Chicken, pork, soup dishes were our favourites lots of nice breads too, would just say need to invest in a good toaster for mornings scrambled eggs were excellent and pancakes, thank you. Generally we found staff were friendly but did come across some that were really not so, maybe they didn’t understand our needs but as general feedback would advice staff in the pool area, and one lady on reception (didn’t get her name but appeared to be in charge tall, blond slim) need to have some customer training sorry but when approached by us were not received with reception we expected. On the flip side there was a lovely lady one reception (sorry didn’t get your name) blond smiley and was on reception when we arrived 15th sept, very helpful, smiley and welcoming we actually waited to ask anything when you were on reception as we knew you would help, than you. Must say a big thank you also to Branislav Kuzunovic who worked tirelessly in the bar, he is such a nice person. Would say if you are looking to go to Montenegro this is a very nice welcoming hotel, local to lots of places, we went on several trips to the canyons and Albania with Gardasevic can be found on the back road from the beach, excellent trips guides are are informative and helpful, coaches comfortable drivers very professional would really recommend. So all in all we had a fabulous holiday in Montenegro looking forward to coming back.

Montenegro is stunning — the sea, the nature, the atmosphere — we loved every moment outside the hotel. The location of Aleksandar is excellent: just steps from the beach, with two pools for guests, making it very convenient for families. The breakfast was excellent, fresh, and varied — one of the few highlights of our stay. But comfort inside the hotel was disappointing. The room was small but acceptable. What was not acceptable were the details that showed a lack of care: nowhere to dry wet clothes after swimming, no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. Small things, but they add up. The real problem was housekeeping. In 7 days our room was never cleaned, and the sheets were never changed. Complaints to reception were met with the same phrase “we are very sorry” repeated like a script, with no action taken. The hotel was fully booked during our stay, and it seems that this is exactly the problem: when every room is already sold, nobody feels responsible for keeping up the quality of service. It feels as if management thinks being “on top” is enough, and guests will keep coming no matter what. This hotel has the potential to be great, but right now it feels like the staff are more focused on watching the sea than serving their guests. Until service improves, I would recommend Montenegro itself — but perhaps not this hotel.

Hello, unfortunately I can't say anything good about this hotel. The first bad impression was left by the staff, the second by the messy rooms, the third by the bad food.
