Hotel Riva

We visited Montenegro for the first time this summer and stayed at the Riva Hotel in Petrovac. What a fine stay it was as well we had an absolute ball there from the moment we arrived right up until we left. The reception staff were so welcoming when we arrived and friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We are British and there command of the English language was impressive. Well done. The Riva is situated right on the seafront a perfect location to stay in Petrovac. Breakfast is served from 0730 to 1000 every morning and is plentiful and of excellent quality the manager is mannerly and friendly and the waiting staff always happy to help and very attentive. The hotel room was of high standard well decorated and all amenities in the room worked well AC and internet worked well throughout our stay. The cleaner worked very hard to maintain a very high standard of cleanliness. The area itself is beautiful and although a small resort the village has plenty of stores and restaurants a lot of very good standard. There's nice coastal walks and a short boat ride to much larger towns and real value for money. The bus stop is just up the road from the hotel we thought better than a car hire as parking isn't easy. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in Riva again faultless really and do everything to make your stay a pleasant one. Two small down points no coffee in the rooms only fruit tea and no shaver charging plugs. If that's all I can score you down on your not doing a bad job. Had a relaxing holiday at this small hotel on the seafront and pretty resort. You step straight out onto the promenade with a good selection of restaurants. The staff really work as a team, from the reception staff to the waiters, and housekeeping all are very professional, pleasant and efficient. The rooms are contemporary & the beds really comfortable. All the sea view rooms were already gone at the time of booking & We were at the back of the hotel & although not the best view it didn’t bother us because you don’t go on holiday to sit in your room. It was easy to book the sunbeds on the beach, and you can order drinks to your sunbed which we thought was a good service. The hotel Riva restaurant is one of the best in resort & we enjoyed many a lunch & dinner. Thankyou Hotel Riva.

Just returned from a 4 night stay with friends and can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It’s in a perfect location right on the beach. Lovely rooms - we had a mountain view room. Staff were all so friendly and helpful can’t fault the service. Drink and food all great and daily breakfast was so nice sitting looking over the bay. Really comfortable sunbeds for hotel guests which you book daily for 15 Euros. Beach stony but sea was beautiful and so refreshing. A lovely little gem of a resort - we loved it and will definitely return

We stayed for a week. Reception team - Excellent. Always on hand to help in any way they could. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. Bedroom - Excellent. Well appointed with good amount of storage, mirrors, hooks for jackets and power sockets where you need them. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom - Excellent. Wonderful rainforest shower, plenty of towels replaced daily, Rituals shower gel and hand-wash. Housekeeping - Excellent. Bedrooms are spotless, as is the whole hotel. Breakfast - Excellent A wide selection of interesting buffet items, hot and cold. All good quality and regularly replenished . Restaurant - Excellent We ate a couple of lunches here and tried a couple of other restaurants in the evening, but none were as good as the restaurant here. So we ate here most of the time. Plus hotel guests get 10% off the bill so it's great value . Waiting staff - Excellent A great team of waiters who are friendly and appear genuinely happy to serve, knowledgeable about the menu and see when tables need clearing etc. All in all I thoughroughly recommend this hotel. We had a Seaview room on the 3rd floor so the view was fantastic, but beware Seaview rooms on 1st floor as a large tree and the restaurant roof covering block the view you might be hoping for.
