Hotel Rivijera does not provide the amenities, services, or standards advertised in its promotional materials. Upon arrival, guests must pass two to three abandoned buildings displaying the hotel's name just to access the hotel entrance. The active property is poorly maintained, understaffed, and presents several safety hazards for families. 📍 Location and Surrounding Area • Hotel Position: The hotel is situated in a positive location, right in the town centre and directly next to the sea. • Montenegro and Local Dining: Montenegro itself is a beautiful destination. The local restaurants outside of the hotel provide good quality food, offering a reliable alternative to the hotel's catering. • Local Beaches: Lučice Beach, located nearby, is particularly lovely. 🚸 Maintenance and Safety Hazards • Grounds: The pathways feature broken paving slabs and exposed metal poles. A 3-year-old child in our party tripped multiple times due to an exposed hole left in the grass. • Play Facilities: The outdoor playground equipment is broken and uncleaned. The indoor kids' club is abandoned, featuring peeling paint, broken fixtures, non-functioning lighting, and an unhygienic toilet. Front desk staff stated the room was too dirty to use and directed us to a local public playground. • Gardens: The garden area is actively maintained by a gardener, which is the only part of the grounds kept in good order. ❌ Advertised Amenities vs. Actual Reality • Bars and Dining: Every advertised beverage venue—including the King Nikola bar, the lounge bar, the poolside bar, and the snack bar—is completely closed. There is no regular bar service; a staff member only occasionally appears to serve drinks if you sit in the garden area. • Beach Access: There is no private beach or dedicated hotel beach bar. The guest welcome pack displays a beach under a completely different name, and sunbeds and umbrellas require a separate out-of-pocket payment. • Gym and Wellness: The advertised fitness centre does not exist, and the beauty room is permanently closed. • Entertainment: Regular entertainment is non-existent. A television in a closed bar was used once to broadcast a football match. The only live entertainment provided was a keyboardist/singer performing from Friday to Monday nights. A piano and a guitar located in the dining room remain unused by staff. 🤢 Housekeeping and Room Issues • Initial Room Standards: Daily housekeeping was not provided. Guests must manually request basic supplies. Our initial room featured less than one roll of toilet paper upon arrival, a cracked and dirty sink, and no bath plug. When requesting supplies, front desk staff responded defensively, creating an awkward and tense atmosphere before handing over two toilet rolls and a few miniature shampoos. • In-Room Amenities: In contrast to the other facilities, the television channels and in-room TV options were surprisingly good. • Lock Failure and Room Change: The electronic room key system completely failed, locking us out of our room. Following this system failure, management relocated us to a second room. • Second Room Condition: The second room was a significant improvement; it was clean, larger, possessed a working key lock, a bath plug, clean towels, extra sheets, two toilet rolls, and several small bottles of body wash. 🍽️ Food Quality and Dietary Restrictions • Dinner Service: We ate dinner at the hotel on our first night, and the quality was exceedingly poor, demonstrating the use of low-grade ingredients. • Buffet Breakfast: The breakfast food options are similarly subpar, resulting in our party barely eating it. • Dietary Restrictions: Catering for specific diets is inadequate. There is minimal vegetarian food available for my husband, and choices are very limited if you are vegan. Management explicitly attributes these widespread failures to the hotel "going through some changes." However, the property continues to charge full price while failing to provide basic hospitality standards, advertised facilities, and a safe external environment.

Hotel Riviera je oaza mira, sa prelijepim velikim parkom i na 50 metara od plaže. Posebno smo zahvalni djevojci sa recepcije Jadranki, i direktoru Draganu koji su bili jako ljubazni, srdačni i još više uljepšali naš boravak. Svakako fantastično mjesto, i opet ćemo se vratiti. Hotel Riviera is an oasis of peace, with a beautiful large park and just 50 meters from the beach. We are especially grateful to Jadranka at the front desk and to the director Dragan, who were extremely kind, warm, and made our stay even more wonderful. Truly a fantastic place, and we will definitely return.

It claims to be a 4-star hotel, but in reality, it doesn’t even deserve a single star.We booked and fully paid for 2 rooms for 5 people for 3 nights via Booking.com. Here is what we actually got for our money: Blatant Scam & Overbooking: Upon arrival, we were told our rooms were unavailable. Instead of the two rooms we paid for, they forced us into a "Superior" room. The staff intentionally hid the fact that this room was strictly for 4 people. As a result, the fifth person in our group slept without a bed or bedding for all 3 nights! We paid for 5 sleeping places but got 4, and no one refunded us for the missing room. Aggressive and Hostile Staff: When we demanded our rooms the next day, the receptionist started screaming, raised her voice, and flatly said: "There are no rooms, and I am not going to help you." I have never experienced such disgusting, unprofessional treatment in my life. Disgusting Dirt & Hazardous Conditions: They advertise 4 stars, but the room was filthy and broken down:The water in the sink doesn't drain at all, leaving stagnant water.The carpets are covered in disgusting stains.The curtains, toilet, and exhaust fan are covered wuth dust.The electrical outlets don't work and are literally falling out of the walls, which is a massive safety and fire hazard! So think, do you want to live in such hotel, if you expect 4 stars. It is the first time in based on my extensive travel experience when I faced this kind of attitude and service.
