Hotel Soa

We stayed one night whilst visiting the sights of the area and were very happy with this hotel. We were the only ones staying there so we were upgraded to the family suite. Not the biggest or most luxurious room but it was comfy, plenty of storage, bathroom was lovely, facilities amazing and staff were helpful and friendly. Dinner was really good and breakfast was excellent. Recommend this for a great stay in the area. Photo from the room, lovely bar area and amazing breakfast 😊

We booked a 1-bedroom suite directly with the hotel, received a clear confirmation and then they sent an email apologizing and cancelling our booking due to their error. This was after the deadline where we would have forfeited the price of one-night's stay if we had cancelled, according to their policy. They did not offer another room but we managed to get a smaller one on Bookings.com. I wrote them to explain this was not acceptable and asked for either the original room or one night free. They did not respond. During our stay, they gave us one free dinner and a bottle of wine as an apology, which was appreciated, but it wasn't really enough. Therefore, this review is a warning of this behavior. The remainder is a general review. The hotel is tired and junior suites are small with almost no place for luggage. I'm not sure why it qualifies for "luxury". The staff are very pleasant and helpful, at reception and in the restaurant. The organization of breakfast needs to be improved because not everything is ready at the stated start time of 7:30. We noted 7:50 on the last day. This doesn't help when you are planning an early hike. The location of the hotel is good and the food at the restaurant was decent.

Service beyond imagination at the soa hotel I have to share with you a crazy experience we had at the soa hotel! We arrived tired and exhausted in the evening, after we had a flat tire on the way. We had already imagined all the nightmares of looking for a tire shop late at night, but then something amazing happened. The reception representative, Mr. Zarko, simply went out of his way! He not only helped us find a place that would take care of the problem quickly, but even offered to meet us there to make sure we received decent service at a fair price. This is not only good service, it is service beyond all expectations. This help, care and dedication make this hotel a place that I highly recommend, and we will definitely return there. Thank you so much Zarko and Soa Hotel! Definitely recommended.

We are a family of four. 10 is a top rating and 1 is the lowest score:- Check In - very friendly. Gave lots of suggestions and a map. Room ambience - small windows, not much space. 2 rooms, kitchen, no balcony. 6/10. Beds - 2 rooms 1 double-bed, 1 sofa bed, 8/10. Room comfort - 7/10. Toilet - 9 Shower - 9 Sink - 10 The bathroom, is not stylish, but it works. Breakfast - not many options, but when I asked if there was any French toast left they gave us a massive platter of French toast, even though we got there at closing time. That was very kind. The next day when we asked for normal toast they once again gave us a massive platter of toast. We asked if they had any meat that was not ham/bacon and they gave us a massive platter of Bresiola! Good service. Very generous servings. 9/10. Dinner - our dishes were tasty, my fussy kids didnt like the pizza as they thought the sauce was "too sweet" but we didnt think it was bad! There are no views from the restaurant, 8/10. Lobby - 3 out of 10 as its small Grounds - 0 none Views - 0 no views from restaurant or our rooms of the stunning area despite location Activities - 0 none in hotel but people come here for the hiking Extras - 0

We booked this last minute as our original booking cancelled and it was the best thing that happened. This hotel was great, it was close to the heart of the town and as close as you can stay to the Black Lake - 35 min walk or 4 min drive to the car park. Staff on reception were so friendly and welcoming. They even upgraded us to an exec suite, which was lovely! So much so, we decided to relax in the room for the afternoon instead of sightseeing. There was a separate bedroom, bathroom (nice products and shower gel, shampoos included). The living area had two sofas, kitchen and tv in living area and bedroom. So many facilities and amazing views from every window, including the bathroom! The balcony was also huge and had nice comfy chairs. The fact that check out is at 12, is also good as there is no rush. We managed to get in a walk around the black lake, back and showered all before check out! Restaurant was busy so would recommend booking to save you walking or driving into the town. Food was pricey (but can’t compare it to anything else) but was very good quality. We had lamb and chicken. The apple tart was delicious! Breakfast was the best we had out of everywhere we stayed in Montenegro. All fresh and tasty. They cook eggs to order and all the cakes were delicious. So much choice! Restaurant staff are very friendly too. We never used the steam room/sauna or booked a massage, but it’s good that it is offered.
