Hotel Panorama

We booked a package deal and was alocated Hotel Nowa Panorama during a visit to Kraków, i can honestly say its the worst hotel I've ever been in, needless to say we immediately checkout 10 minutes after our arrival and made alternative arrangements to stay in another hotel. Calling this a three-star hotel is extremely generous. In my opinion, it is more like a very basic budget hostel, offering little of the comfort or quality you would reasonably expect from a hotel. The accommodation was extremely basic, dated and generally of a poor standard. The room was small and lacked any sense of comfort or quality. It certainly wasn't somewhere you looked forward to returning to after a long day exploring Kraków. The location was another major disappointment. It's well away from the main tourist attractions and the beautiful Old Town, with very little of interest in the immediate surroundings. Not exactly an ideal base for a city break. Having subsequently read other guests' reviews, I'm surprised by how many similar complaints have been made about the small rooms, outdated facilities, poor soundproofing and general standard of accommodation. Kraków itself is a fantastic city, with beautiful architecture, excellent restaurants and so much to see and do. Unfortunately, this hotel really let the holiday down. I appreciate that this is budget accommodation, but even budget hotels should provide a reasonable level of comfort and quality. In my opinion, Hotel Nowa Panorama falls well short of what I would expect from a three-star establishment. My advice would be to spend a little more, or even look for similarly priced accommodation closer to the city centre. There are far better places to stay in Kraków. I certainly wouldn't return or recommend this hotel to anyone planning a city break.

I always try to find something positive to say so i shall start with the friendly staff, and a very decent breakfast buffet in the morning. That’s about it, the room was tiny, the bathroom was a joke with the toilet bowl actually touch ing the wash hand basin stand……that translates into “…..it was not possible to sit on the toilet for a number 2…..” couple of days the room was not even cleaned or refreshed in any way. The internet connection didn’t work and we reported the issue every single day. Same for the TV not working, one remote was actually held together with gaffer tape…..twice we were told it had been fixed but to no avail. Location is ok as it is very close to tra sport links, but it is not central……:-(

We just didn’t like the it not what we were expecting room small reception 1 person friendly the best thing breakfast didn’t smile or be friendly lift was well very bumpy

Pleasantly surprised with helpful staff, location near city center and excellent breakfast service. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and offer great conditions for the price.

Room had a horrendous smoke smell even though it is meant to be a non-smoking hotel and displays a notice stating that you will be fined for smoking. We aired the room out for half an hour and the smoke smell didn't go away. You could smell it in the bed sheets so obviously not an isolated incident. Told that there were no alternative rooms even though there was apparently availability on line. Check-in staff member said he would get housekeeping to try and do something the next day but was visibly not surprised at what we had said. Smell was so bad that we checked out and went elsewhere. Staff on reception merely smirked at each other so again, clearly they weren't suprised. Booked through BedsOnline.com who are essentially saying that we are lying. Much better, more central accommodation to be found. Kraków is a lovely friendly city and I can thoroughly recommend a trip here just do not stay in this hotel! Very interested to see what comment If any the hotel posts against this review.
