Hampton by Hilton Gdansk Old Town

Every once in a while while traveling, you land in a hotel where you say that you don't want to leave. This was one of those places. It was a treat to stay in this hotel in a historical part of Gdansk. The spacious room and the comfortable bed along with its fluffy pillows made for a wonderful stay. On top of that, the location was ideal in that it was in the Old Town and near restaurants and the main pedestrian street. The hotel staff was also very friendly and helpful. Lastly, the breakfast buffet was outstanding. Not only was my favorite waffle station with malt waffle batter prominently featured, there were salads, fresh fruit, eggs, cereals, etc. Everything was delicious.

Greeted on arrival at reception a friendly welcome and all looked spotless. Allocated room 108 spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, super comfy bed and pillows however its the smallest room we ve stayed in so that was disappointing and the room got very hot in the evening even though heating was off and windows unable to open. Breakfast was different. Scrambled egg each day a few pastries something that looked like vegetable goulash one day sometimes sausages and beans A salad bar but nothing was labelled and no toast just rolls or bread.cerael. yogurts. Small selection of fresh fruit. The orange juice tasted like water. Hotel has a great location for all attractions.

This hotel is well located for the Old Town and within walking distance of many of the main attractions. The room is comfortable and well equipped providing a good nights sleep. Breakfast will be adequate for most people with sufficient choice. The cappuccino machine was good only criticism would be that apple and orange juice had little flavour and tasted very watery. There are many good value bars, restaurants and cafes in and around the Old Town.

Hotel is positioned in the centre of the old town, handily it has a side door straight onto one of the main streets. We stayed for one night on a Saturday, arriving at midday and were told the room wouldn’t be ready until 3pm but the receptionist was happy to take our bags and keep them until we could check in. Booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The family room was big, with 2 double beds and a sofa bed, desk/chair and en-suite. Very impressed with the room and en-suite. Breakfast was busy but was very good. Plenty for both adults and children.

Just returned from a 3 night stay here. The Hotel is in a good location close to everything. We had a room on third floor at the back of hotel that looked out onto the church. The bells from the church are so loud they go off every morning at 7 so be warned - bring your ear plugs!!! The rooms are nice and clean and spacious. Breakfast was busy whatever time we went, there was a good choice and it changed everyday. First hotel I’ve ever stayed in that doesn’t have a toaster at breakfast???
