Radisson Hotel Szklarska Poręba

After many stays at this hotel over several years, I can no longer remain silent about the issues we experienced. This is not a review written after one bad stay. Unfortunately, similar problems have occurred repeatedly, and despite reporting them on multiple occasions, nothing ever changed. The most serious issue during our recent stay concerned the SPA area and the behaviour of certain staff members. Instead of creating a welcoming and relaxing environment, interactions were often confrontational and unnecessarily hostile. We repeatedly felt singled out rather than treated as valued guests. One particularly upsetting incident involved my daughter, who felt unwell and needed water. There was only one water dispenser available, yet access to it became the subject of an unnecessary dispute. As a parent, seeing a child who feels weak being prevented from simply getting a drink of water was extremely distressing and difficult to understand. Guest safety was another major concern. Water frequently remained on the floor around the pool area, creating a genuine slipping hazard. I personally nearly fell. These issues were visible and repeatedly reported. The situation escalated to the point where the Police had to attend the hotel following a serious incident in the SPA area. During our family holiday, the last thing we expected was police intervention at a hotel that presents itself as a premium property. What was even more concerning was what happened afterwards. We were assured that the matter would be addressed and guest safety would be taken seriously. However, the following day the same individual involved in the incident was again present in the hotel and SPA area. This left us questioning whether any meaningful action had been taken at all. Equally disappointing was the response from management. A meeting was promised but never took place. During a later discussion, I received no apology and very little indication that the stress experienced by my family was understood or acknowledged. Sadly, this was not the first problem we have encountered here. On a previous stay, incorrect restaurant opening hours published by the hotel resulted in us arriving with prepaid dining included in our package only to discover that the kitchen had already closed. Resolving the issue required escalation beyond the hotel itself. The property itself has potential and the location is excellent. Unfortunately, a hotel is defined by its people, service culture and the way it handles problems. In those areas, our experience was deeply disappointing. The handling of the situation by Hotel Director Ms. Joanna Zębik was particularly disappointing. Despite the seriousness of the events, including Police attendance, no meaningful attempt was made to rebuild trust or address our concerns. As a returning guest, I left feeling dismissed rather than heard. After many years as a returning guest, this was our final stay. We left not feeling rested, but stressed, disappointed and with the impression that guest concerns are not taken seriously unless they are positive.

The hotel has great staff. Olivia and Julia at reception are marvelous - very efficient. Hotel breakfast is VERY good, love the salads, cheeses, sausages and various hot stuff. The room (with view) is set up perfect with good beds for good sleep. Housekeeping does a GOOD job. The pool opens from 8 to 21 hrs with warm water. Kids will love the slides. As of May, 28 2026 the road to the hotel is paved!

Paved road to hotel is in terrible shape (for hotel management to discuss with city of Sklarska). Hotel is unfortunately far from the town itself, car is needed. Would be great if hotel offered (at extra cost) an hourly shuttle service to/from the town of Sklarska. Parking at hotel barely adequate when at full guest capacity. Service at hotel was good and room was comfortable.

Hotel is not pet friendly.Cost for 1 night for dog is 115 zlotych. Is prohibited : to be in lobby with dog, to be in restaurant with dog, dog could be alone at hotel room maximum 20 minuts. In this case is not allowed to enjoy your breakfast and dinner. In room is not dog- bed and dog bowel for water and food. Absollutly unfriendly for guests- for dog and for her owner, too.

This would be a really nice hotel but it’s very poorly managed. Firstly - upon arrival there was a radisson rewards member front office desk (as it’s part of my vip membership - not to wait for the check-in) but nobody cares about it - we stood there, even had a few eye contacts with the receptionist but she chose to ignore me. Secondly - it has never happened to me in Radisson that they would charge a vip member for parking - we already do spend a lot in your hotels, free parking wouldn’t ruin your cashflow. Thirdly, we had a specific inquiry for a dinner so the receptionist send us to search for F&B manager - since we haven’t found her, we asked a waiter but instead of calling the F&B he insisted that we have to talk to him which was pointless as he was incapable of solving our inquiry (the F&B lady saw that, even spoke to the waiter in polish but also chose to ignore the problem instead of solving it as a manager). Next day we’ve decided to have a desser at the lobby - one would believe how hard is to order something in a half empty lobby bar - when we went to pay we’ve discovered that the F&B manager was playing on her phone and after seeing us was very annoyed to do the payment with us. The wellness has no towels for the guest and you can’t take from the room so make sure you bring your own. Also it’s so small that you have like 5% chance to find a spot to sit there. Lastly - that we haven’t got an upgrade is totally fine and understandable due to the full capacity, but that we haven’t even recieved the mountain view room that I asked for was also quite disappointing. Only positive was the 15% discount on F&B which worked surprisingly well here. And I did appreciate the welcome snacks on the room (that’s why the second star). We’ve also recieved a special breakfast offer on our 2nd breakfast which was nice but why can’t they give it already from the begining is something I don’t get.
