Canadiano Urban Nature Hotel

The hotel seemed like an upgraded hostel. The room reminded me of my daughters' dorm. It was difficult to get to because of the one-way streets and the entry was narrow with parking usually way at the back. The included breakfast was a zoo to small of an area with the other package tourists that would not wait in line and cut in front of you to get their food. The breakfast was average food wise. The coffee machine was broken, and they tried to fix it but it was no better. It was the worst I ever had, any gas station would have been better. The positive I can give is the maids are wonderful and the room was spotless.

Our family of seven had the pleasure of staying at the Canadiano Urban Nature Hotel in Ponta Delgada, Azores, for eight days, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every single staff member was welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely kind. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the beds were amazing, and the housekeeping team was outstanding. Our rooms were cleaned so quickly, efficiently, and impeccably every day. I can honestly say I have never stayed in a hotel this clean. In my opinion, this hotel deserves far more stars than its current rating. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The selection was excellent, everything was fresh and beautifully presented, and the dining area was spotless. The staff made every morning special by greeting us warmly and always going out of their way to make us feel welcome. One of the most touching moments happened on our last day. Several staff members came out to say goodbye, gave my mom a hug, and even the cooks came out from the kitchen to greet her and speak Portuguese with her. That level of warmth and personal care is something you rarely experience and will never forget. The front desk team was exceptional as well. They were friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. They gladly stored our luggage both before we checked in and after we checked out, allowing us to enjoy our time in Ponta Delgada without worrying about our bags. The location is fantastic, with a wonderful bakery right next door, and the free parking was an added bonus that made exploring São Miguel so convenient. I honestly cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this hotel. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. We will enthusiastically recommend the Canadiano Urban Nature Hotel to everyone we know who is planning a trip to the Azores, and we absolutely look forward to returning. Thank you to every member of your staff for making our family feel so welcome. You are truly a class act—A+ all the way!

This Canadiano Urban Nature Hotel is a gem in the old town area. It is located near to the main attraction, probably just 10 minutes walk away. And yet it has a very spacious parking area at the back. The rooms are nicely renovated recently, and of very good sized and adequately furnished. There are plenty of USB and power outlets at the desk area and at the sides of the bed. For the power outlets, there are BOTH European and universal (American, British) formats. The breakfast is very good, and you can see the bread being freshly baked in-house every morning. The hot breakfast items do get changed every day (I stayed 3 days).

We stayed for 7 nights in early November '25. The hotel was clean, welcoming, modern. Breakfast was substantial, and included in the price. The staff were always quite helpful and kind - even helping with finding our way to a meeting point that we couldn't find on the map. We were able to walk easily to the main attraction and shops in town. There was also a lovely bakery right next door, and a pub that had good food and inexpensive beverages on tap within 100 meters.
