The reception team were honestly the highlight they were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They helped me find places, anticipated every single one of my needs, and went above and beyond to give me the most wonderful birthday I could have ever asked for. 💛 They were so warm, friendly, and helpful even telling me and showing me things I never would have known about on my own. It was the kindest, most thoughtful service I have ever received from any hotel, anywhere. This is genuinely the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. You’ve set the bar so high from now on, this is the standard I’ll be expecting everywhere I go! I will definitely be coming back, and I cannot wait. Thank you for making my birthday so perfect!

Dear Gentle Reader, Close your eyes. Imagine you are staying in a €270 per night hotel that boasts a pool, spa, and gym. Imagine, upon check-in, your small party is informed of the requirement to RESERVE a time to use the pool (along with 4 others). You reserve a time: 5pm. As your appointed pool time approaches, you stop at the front desk to inquire where one may find a pool towel. Imagine, then, staff informing you towels are available to RENT whilst using the on-premises pool/sauna/gym. What you are imaging is the Hotel Gaivota.

Nice hotel. Some website details are outdated/misleading. Small pool and sauna location need reservation. Breakfast has many options for all kinds of eaters. Beds and pillows are very firm.

We both had a fantastic time at this hotel. It was recommended by somebody we met whilst visiting the island last year but it far exceeded our expectations. The hotel was very clean and our rooms were of a high standard. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. There was a fabulous choice for breakfast and the poached eggs were perfect every time. The wellness room was a fantastic addition and most times we had it all to ourselves. We had a suite which overlooked the marina and although the road was quite noisy with the balcony doors closed at night it never disturbed us.

The perfect location - the view from the balcony was amazing! An easy walk to the centre, bars and restaurants. The room was adequate, a little stark but the bed was firm (just how I need it to be) and there was a ton of great pillows. Clean and tidy hotel. The two ladies on reception were lovely, helpful and always smiling. The buffet breakfasts were a bit luke warm but when ordering from the menu all was good.
