Grand Hotel Acores Atlantico

We stayed at this hotel for a week in June. The staff were excellent and very responsive and helpful. The breakfast buffets were good with lots of selection and nice views when seated overlooking the water. The rooms were well appointed and as ours overlooked the harbour we were able to enjoy great views. A couple of small misses with housekeeping but nothing major. Location and proximity to restaurants, a food market and sights was also great. My only issue was we had a rental car and therefore felt we had to use the valet parking which was a little expensive. However it was very convenient and again the gentleman that took care of it provided excellent service so in the end maybe worth it. Overall I highly recommend.

We have just returned from a week's hiking trip to the wonderful Azores. We stayed the first night and last night at the Grand Hotel ACores Atlantico and have only good things to say about the hotel and the staff. The rooms are good size, quiet and have all the amenities you need, especially welcome were the USB ports which we didn't have at any of the other hotels we stayed at on the island and a kettle for late night tea. Breakfast service plentiful with lots of choice and helpful wait staff for special coffee or other requests. Staff very helpful with taxis and reconfiguring beds. Turndown service still gives a little chocolate - missing in most hotels these days. Location excellent right on the sea and 15 minutes from the airport. I would be most happy to recommend it and return sometime soon.

We spent six nights at the hotel. First rate service from all their staff. We had some check-in questions before the trip and their staff answered our emails within the hour. Room was immaculate and the housekeeping efficient and discrete. Water front location is the best in Ponta Delgado. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is central and incredibly convenient. The Room: The beds are very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great attention to detail: the bed reading lights have switches right on the cord, making them easy to turn on and off without getting up. Equipped with a small fridge, a safe, a Nespresso machine, and an electric kettle featuring tea from a local plantation. The light on the makeup mirror doubles perfectly as a nightlight. High-quality bath products provided. Dining: The lobby bar/lounge serves great food all day and mixes excellent cocktails. A large, very high-quality breakfast buffet was included in our stay. Service & Amenities: The staff is excellent and highly attentive, from the front desk and waitstaff to the team helping with luggage and valet. They truly go the extra mile. When I had trouble logging into the Wi-Fi, I called the desk, and they immediately sent someone to my room to fix it—I didn’t even have to go downstairs. Valet parking is very reasonably priced at just €14, and they retrieve your car quickly whenever you need it. Highly recommended!

I've stayed here for a total of 8 nights. I do quite a bit of travel for business and leisure purposes, and have been to many, many 5* and 4* properties. The Grand Hotel Acores Atlantico may actually be the best one I've been to yet. Their focus on customer service and overall guest experience is unrivaled. The staff (reception, doormen, housekeeping, breakfast restaurant) were lovely and highly professional in all aspects and across all of my interactions. Make sure to get an ocean view room and make use of the valet parking service.
