Grand Hotel Acores Atlantico

Perfect hotel for 1-2 nights while visiting Ponta Delgada. The bed and the pillows are amazing! We slept so well here. The shower is large with strong water pressure. Breakfast was included and more food than you could ever imagine! Don’t miss swimming at the local “swimming pool” in the ocean immediately in front of the hotel. This was unbelievably refreshing and a great way to hang out with the locals. Gym was so clean and cold. Spa has both dry and steam saunas and an emotional shower you need to check out! You can street park using an app- pretty cheap. Street parking is free from 7 pm- 7 am. Head one block to Colmeia Avenida for the best coffee (Illy) in the Azores!

From arriving to departing we loved everything about the hotel, and we don't leave until the day after tomorrow, lol. ALL of the hotel staff are wonderful, polite, friendly and helpful. Tatianna, Paulo,( the shortest Azorean), Rodriguez and Sonnia from breakfast all stan out, but everybody there made our stay wonderful. Beautiful room and lots of the little touches that really make this hotel stand out head and shoulders above everywhere else we have ever stayed. We pushed to boat out for this special holiday and I couldn't be happier that we did.

Convenient location close to town. Beautiful room with extremely comfortable bed. Extremely helpful staff. Valet was always quick with the car. Breakfast buffet was quite good.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel, especially its staff and food quality. Perfect location with City and Bay views, Clean, Quiet with all the amenities.

We had a great view from our balcony in a fabulous location overlooking the port and minutes away from historic Ponta Delgado. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. Bottled water, turndown service, and nighttime chocolates were among the amenities. The expansive buffet breakfast was adequate although the coffee other than the espresso was terrible. We ended up most days going to a cafe with a delicious Azorean bakery a block away. Many excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
