We booked this hotel expecting a luxury experience, but it turned out to be the opposite. The property was clearly over capacity, with overwhelming crowds everywhere. Despite having a full board package, we couldn’t properly enjoy any meals due to overcrowded restaurants and long queues. The same issue extended to the shuttles, water park, and even room service—everything felt strained and poorly managed. There was nothing luxurious about the experience. Suggesting that guests should avoid weekends is not a solution; a hotel that markets itself as luxury should be able to maintain its standards at all times, without overbooking and compromising service.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Salwa. Shout out to the pool bar / restaurant staff at the South Beach area and Shaveen, Shahob, Rojan and Bosco at Dantes.

I stayed at the Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas and had mixed feelings about the experience. The private three-bedroom villa itself was genuinely nice—spacious, well-designed, and the private pool was a great feature. From an accommodation standpoint, it met expectations. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t live up to the same standard. Our stay was on a full-board basis, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, yet we ended up skipping all three after seeing how overcrowded and chaotic the main restaurant was. It didn’t feel like a place where you could actually relax and enjoy a meal. We also ordered in-villa breakfast, which turned into another frustrating experience. Delivery took far longer than expected—between 40 minutes to over an hour (around 70 minutes). When it finally arrived, basic items like salt and pepper were missing. We requested them, but they were never brought. The aqua park was also difficult to enjoy. The water was very cold, and the area was extremely crowded. There were not enough sunbeds available, and when we asked for towels, we were told they had run out due to how busy it was. This made it hard to relax or fully enjoy the facilities. Getting around the resort was another issue. Whenever we requested a golf cart, we had to wait a long time, and in some cases it didn’t arrive at all. We ended up walking long distances in the heat just to reach our destination, which was particularly inconvenient given the size of the property. We later tried the Lebanese restaurant, hoping for a better experience, but the food quality was disappointing. The kebab koobideh was particularly poor and bore no resemblance to what you would expect from this dish. The vine leaves were inedible, and the arayes were easily the worst part of the meal. The only item that stood out positively was the cheese raqaqat. Throughout the stay, we raised these concerns on the spot to give the team an opportunity to address them. Unfortunately, despite speaking with staff and management, the issues were not resolved and the handling of the complaints did not meet expectations. Service overall felt strained. It consistently seemed like there weren’t enough staff for the number of guests, which led to long wait times and lack of attention to detail. Overall, while the villa itself was a highlight, the overcrowding, slow service, and disappointing food significantly impacted the stay. For a resort of this level, better organization and service coordination are essential.
