Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada

Location, atmosphere, room and value are great. Entertainment is wonderful. Shout to Paola Burgos (bartender/server). She’s attentive and friendly. Made us feel welcome. We love her. Also, the server in the breakfast buffet was excellent.

The room smelled very musty no matter how long or how cold we ran the AC. Everything in the room stayed moist. I thought maybe just how it is with this humidity but talked to others and not the case. My family didn't want to pack up and moved so we stayed. They are closing in a few months to refurbish, hopefully it's fixed. The nightly entertainment was great. The buffet had enough choices even for my picky eaters. The pool is in a little disrepair but I was told that is definitely one of the things being repaired during closing. The beach access is excellent.

We visited last week 07/25-07/30. The weather was wonderful, sunny low 90's. Although the resort is old (25 yrs) it is very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The food at the buffet was good but very repetitive. One criticism is there is only one beer to choose from and it was not very cold. They were very accommodating when they changed our room to the 1st floor after we were given a room on the 3rd floor (no elevators) which was very difficult for our old legs. Lucy and Johancel were extremly helpful with all our needs. Look them up if you need any help as they will accommodate you in any matter possible.

Exceptional customer service, especially Lucy, Pedro,Leo, Yony Manuel and housekeeping Griselda and the restaurant staffs. We had a wonderful stay and great excursions experience ❤️. Planning to return again we more friends and family. My daughter had a wonderful 16th Birthday 🎂 vacation. Keep up the exceptional work here at Costa Dorada.

I can not say enough good things about this resort! The friendliest staff I have ever encountered on a vacation! Our concierge Johancel was top notch and exceeded our expectations. Everything was always clean, big spacious pool, entertainment at night, cooking on the beach during the day, and the food was always hot and fresh with tons of choices!
