Bahia Principe Escape Ambar

This is me doubling down on my boyfriend’s review while we are actually staying here, my boyfriend pointed out that the drinks and food are not 5 star, to which management responded, well yeah, certain food a drink is premium and can be paid for as an extra cost, news flash, you advertise as a 5 star, and its an all inclusive, we were quoted 86 usd for a bottle of grey goose, 5 dollars for a corona, ur tap beer smells, and this in no way takes away from the wonderful staff at the resort, they make this trip worth it, they try their hardest, this is management’s downfall, stand behind your product, tell people on your website, well its a 5 star if you pay an extra 80 dollars for a premium meal, and extra 5 dollars for a real beer, hope you pay your staff better than you treat your customers

Vodka tastes like rum, you have to pay for premium beer, or alcohol, room run down, food 3 star at best, I’ve stayed in Cuba 17 times, so I’m not a picky eater, I’m not hard to please, this place wouldnt even get a 5 star rating by Cuban standards, my issue is with calling yourself 5 star by punta Cana standards when you are no where near that, weather was great which is why you got 3 stars, coming here, met many people at the airport that praised this place, granted they stayed here years ago, years ago when this was a 5 star, note to self, better research in the future

Not the same place....stayed here many times in the past but has lost its chram since Hyatt took over...looking for a new resort with better service....

Let me start by saying I work in the travel industry, and I’ve stayed at plenty of resorts. **Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar is a fantastic adults-only resort!** Don't let the negative reviews scare you away. Sure, you can pick apart any resort and find something to complain about, but sometimes I wonder if some people are determined to find something wrong instead of enjoying their vacation! **First piece of advice: GET A SWIM-UP ROOM!** I love people and enjoy the atmosphere around the main pool, but after 2 or 3 hours of socializing, there's nothing better than heading back to your room, jumping into your own swim-up pool, and relaxing with a drink. For us, it's worth every penny! **The Coffee Shop:** Fantastic! Great cappuccinos (especially with a little Baileys!), delicious desserts, and a nice selection of sandwiches. Now, one of the girls looks like she absolutely hates her job, but hey, that's her problem, not mine! It certainly didn't change how good my cappuccino and Baileys tasted! 😂 **Front Desk:** Excellent! Shout out to Frantz and all the others. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in making sure your needs are taken care of. You don't always get that at every resort. **The Bars:** Some of the best bartenders in the industry! Friendly, entertaining, and always ready to have some fun. These people work hard and still manage to make you feel like you're part of the family. **Food & Restaurants:** We had some fantastic meals, and the waiters and waitresses were amazing. The service really stood out. Now, was everything perfect? Of course not! The air conditioning at Limbo was working great, but the Italian restaurant? **No air conditioning AGAIN!** We experienced the same thing last March, and twice now we've had to sit through dinner in the heat. UGG! Come on, Ambar, get that fixed! The good news is the food was really good, even if we were sweating while eating it! **Entertainment:** Another big shout-out to the entertainment team! Especially " Evelin" The staff were energetic, engaging, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. They definitely added to our vacation experience. **Final Thoughts:** Is Ambar perfect? No. Is any resort perfect? Absolutely not! But between the beautiful property, fantastic staff, great food, fun bartenders, excellent service, and our swim-up room, we had an amazing vacation. I've been in the travel industry long enough to know the difference between a resort that simply looks good in pictures and one that actually delivers a great vacation experience. **Ambar delivers!** And probably the best endorsement I can give? **WE'RE ALREADY COMING BACK IN APRIL!** 🍹🌴☀️ That should tell you everything you need to know!

The hotel was beautiful and the entire staff was warm and friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed a private pool off our room. There were plenty of activities and shows. Lots of fun. The Ámbar buffet had lots of food options and the food was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel
