Great hotel, lovely food, friendly staff. I would recommend taking cash in Dominican paso rather than on a travel card as I did. We went on several trips and the Soana island trip was fantastic highly recommended. The rooms were kept super clean every day. The po side drinks service was excellent. We had a fantastic holiday here and would highly recommend it.

Fantastic time again the staff here are fantastic too many to name all were fantastic above and beyond as always the pool staff are amazing all the restaurants were great as usual Alfonso at the Italian the rooms were great could do with more electric points are needed one is not enough we are back in may 27 the sea is full of sea weed. Not the hotels fault the pools are cleaned regularly the restaurants my favorite steak, Asian all top notch local shops are expensive take your own sweets crisps and of mosquito spray of Amazon

Having spent 2 weeks at this hotel with our son and daughter in law, I felt the need to leave some feedback. All inclusive is not our usual choice of holiday but I need not have worried and infact should have been more excited. We upgraded to a pool view room and overlooked the quiet pool. It was a perfect location and the room was stunning. It was large and clean, complete with 4 poster bed, sofa, big TV and table and chairs and a super bathroom. The housekeepers kept it very clean for us and we always had plenty of water and beer and miniatures in the fridge. The towels were replenished regularly and were big white and fluffy. The bedding was equally impressive. Air conditioning worked well too. We did have a little trouble with our wi fi but the guest experience team and front desk were always more than willing to assist. All staff at the main reception were super friendly and helpful and luckily for us spoke excellent English. Our grasp of Spanish would not have been sufficient. The abundance and variety of food was also amazing. The Buffet at both breakfast and lunch had so much variety and suited every nationality. The work that must go into preparing and displaying the food is unimaginable, so much that one morning I felt the need to stop one of the chefs and complement him on their work. He gave me the biggest smile and seemed very proud… rightly so. The evening buffet was equally impressive. There was a chefs table with meat carved from the bone, steaks freshly cooked and always a large fish (including fresh tuna and salmon). The abundance of other fish and shellfish was also above and beyond with crab, scallops, mussels, calamari, salmon, king prawns, clams and more. We tried the 3 à la carte restaurants more than once in the adult side which were all fabulous and we also tried 2 in the family side. On that side, we did not enjoy the French and Mediterranean so much, but it was still perfectly acceptable, but our son tried the Italian which he said was very good. The drinks everywhere were of good quality and plentiful and the service was exceptional. We only had the house wine, both red and white, which was very good for a house wine. We were supplied with cocktails all day by the pool by the lovely ladies who kept us topped up with a smile. It would be unfair of me to name them as they were all so helpful and I wouldn’t want to leave anyone out. We had equally good service in the lobby bar and always finished off the night with a decent brandy and whisky. Likewise the drinks in the restaurants and à la cartes kept coming, all served with a smile and friendly banter. The sunbeds were plentiful and comfortable , although some people did get up very early to reserve them despite notices asking people not to reserve them. We used both pools and the beach and were quite content. You need to know before you go and accept that although the beach is beautiful, the sea is not the best but the pools make up for it. It is so easy to lie on the beach and just walk a few steps back into the resort to dip in the pool. You also need to know that there is nowhere to go on foot outside the resort. No little local bar or shops but there are some excellent trips to be taken. We even tried the zip wire trip which was quite adventurous for us oldies! If I were to offer one suggestion for even better if……. Check out was really easy and staff were very helpful with buggies and our luggage. However, when the coach turned up, there was no help to load the luggage into the boot and it was a bit of a free for all and tussle in the heat. It would have been helpful for a couple of the lovely lads to assist with this to maintain some order. All in all. Well done everyone at the Bouganville. You should be proud of what you do and how you help so many people have a super holiday. Thank you

Arrived few days ago, easy check in , and the staff can’t do enough for you, so very helpful & caring , we have a stunning bedroom with huge 4 poster bed, loads of space , the resort is simply stunning, so clean, tidy and the staff are polite, courteous and make you feel very valued. Two lovely pools with lots of sun loungers and parasols , some activities around the larger pool which are well organised and good fun! The cocktails at swim up bar and the bar in lobby are superb, highly rate them . As for the food it is first class, the buffet cater for everyone! The beach is clean, pure sand , the sea a little murky but still wonderful. This is a truly wonderful resort which I would highly recommend Thank you to everyone for a totally amazing holiday ! We have stayed at this hotel several times before and it didn't disappoint this time. The staff are always very attentive and friendly and this is not due to expecting tips. The bar staff at the quiet pool where especially attentive and hard working. They continually walked around the pool making sure you had a drink and served you quickly at the bar with a friendly smile. Unfortunately we cannot remember anyone's specific name. We found the food at the buffet restaurant to be of a good standard and was always able to complete a very enjoyable meal. Although we are not wine connoisseurs we did enjoy the wines but do believe that the Red wine would be better if not chilled and served at room temperature. We also enjoyed meals at the Alacart restaurants but only the Don Pablo Restaurant and the Oriental restaurant. The Don Pablo was our favorite. We would also say that the Buffet restaurant was very good and had a very good restaurant environment where you could enjoy a nice meal and not feel rushed unlike other hotels where the buffet restaurant is like a cafeteria environment. The staff at the main entertainment bar where very friendly and efficient and the waitresses always made sure you had a drink. The beach is not the best of beaches but the hotels facilities and service more than make up for this. Slightly disappointed that the bar near to the buffet restaurant was closed during our stay as we always enjoyed a quiet drink here after our evening meal. Also disappointed that the bar near to the Jacuzzi pool was also closed as was some of the Alacart restaurants. We where led to believe this was due to low occupancy. Overall we had a very good holiday and will return but will wait to see what changes the Hyatt group make now they own the hotel. Hopefully they do not change the restaurant environment or the friendly staff.
