Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville

I just got home and can’t wait to go back! I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The food was amazing, and the entire staff was exceptionally kind. A special shoutout goes to Wilki from the guest experience team. We had a slight issue with our room type when we first arrived, but Wilki handled it quickly and professionally. He personally checked in on us to ensure everything was right and made the rest of our stay truly special. Highly recommended!

We've been frequent visitors to Cuba but given the difficulties facing the country we decided to try another location. It was a good choice. Typically this time of year is mosquito season in Cuba so we were hoping this was not the case in Dom Rep. We were not disappointed 7 days of wonderful sunny HOT days and all was amazing. Clean resort , rooms were fantastic and the food was bountiful and excellent tasting.Hallways and common areas were always clean and fresh smelling. Unfortunately my wife was stung by a jelly fish our second day at the beach so we opted to stay at the two pools in the adult area of the resort. Beautiful clean water, served by friendly waitresses and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

This location was beautiful the rooms were perfect (very spacious with a beautiful bathroom, and architecture). With a special employee named Wilki from guest experience! He went above and beyond, he helped me everyday with all of my preparations for my engagement! He went out of his way to make sure my fiancé and I had once in a life time experience that we will remember forever! I am very thankful for everyone here and look forward to returning here once again.

The staff is all so wonderful and accommodating. We had AMAZING help from Wilki from guest experience through our week at Bouganville. Wilki helped my boyfriend plan a very romantic sunset dinner on the beach for him to propose. This was our first time in this country or at any Bahia principe resorts and honestly can’t wait to return. My finance and I both loved the custom omelettes for breakfast and custom pasta for lunch and dinner. We were in the pool everyday and the water was perfect and clean. They have 2 pools which was perfect as it allowed us to choose the party pool or quiet pool, based on our moods. The drinks were amazing at any bar. If our room ran out of anything, Wilki was always there to arrange for replacements and even surprised us with the LOVELIEST romantic rose bath. The beds are so comfy and rooms are nice and clean and spacious. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Thank you all the staff for a great week.

We are a couple in our 40’s with my in laws in their late 60’s early 70’s. We were booked for the adults only. After drop off at the main lobby, we weren’t told for a while that we were to take a buggy to the adults only side to check in but it didn’t take too long. We were given a fab welcome drink and cold flannel while we checked in. We were then taken to our amazing room overlooking the quiet pool. No issues with the room- air con working and stocked mini fridge with soft drinks, beer & spirits. There is also a coffee machine, iron & board, hairdryer and umbrella! Super comfy large bed with plenty of pillows. There are 3 pools for just the adults only and we spent our time at the quiet pool. At 2 you have a swim up bar or the waiters come round taking orders. We tipped a usd or 2 per day to these ladies. It was quite quiet when we went but the quiet pool was pretty full most days. People do put towels out to reserve beds but you can generally find somewhere later if needed. There is also a sunken jacuzzi pool which I loved. There are 5 à la cart restaurants to pre book onto across the whole resort but 2 just for adults only (which are definitely the best) but the buffet is also really good. There are themed nights and so much choice but the food isn’t that hot unfortunately but to be expected. The best all inclusive we have ever had! The beach- well this is a reason for a conversation. The beach is gorgeous with the typical white sand and palm trees but the water is not clear and so you can’t see the jellyfish although some people went in. If you walk to the left past the beach bar you can swim here which we did a few times. The staff are all so fun and friendly, i must say so many of the staff genuinely seemed happy to be there which was so lovely to see. Maria in the restaurants was so much fun and Celeste around the pool. Thank you. We would recommend this hotel as adults only but can’t overly comment on the family side. We were not ready to come home after 2 weeks and we miss it already.
