The resort has some positive features. The beach is beautiful, with soft sand, no rocks, and relatively little seaweed, which is regularly cleaned up. The shuttle between the beach and the lobby runs approximately every five minutes, which is very convenient. I also liked the layout of the resort, with the buffet restaurant, swimming pool, and beach all located close to one another rather than spread out across the property. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, mainly because of what appears to be a lack of proper management, maintenance, and attention to guests’ comfort. Food and facilities: * The buffet dining area is far too small for a resort of this size, and the selection of food is very limited. * The washroom and bathroom area in the room is extremely small. It is practically impossible for two people to use the space comfortably at the same time. * The shower is very small, and there is no bathtub in the room. * Only one hand towel was provided for two guests. Room condition and comfort: * Despite the advertised renovation, the room does not appear to have been fully renovated. The air conditioning unit is old and cannot be properly adjusted, making the room uncomfortably cold at night. To make matters worse, there was only one small blanket for two people. Cleanliness and maintenance: * There are far too many mosquitoes, both in the morning and in the evening. We did not see any obvious efforts to control them. * Wet beach towels can only be exchanged for dry ones in the morning, forcing guests to hang their wet towels on their balconies to dry. * The main swimming pool is very large, yet it appears to have only one entrance and exit. This is a poorly thought-out arrangement for a pool of this size. Wi-Fi and drinks: * The Wi-Fi connection is extremely unreliable and needs to be restarted every few hours. In all my recent visits to other resorts, I have never experienced internet service this bad. * The bars mainly offer local alcoholic drinks. Guests are expected to pay extra for many premium options, which is disappointing at an all-inclusive resort. Staff and service: * Unfortunately, many staff members came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. * English communication is also a major problem. In our experience, only a small percentage of staff, perhaps 10–15%, could understand English well enough to communicate effectively. Final thoughts: The beach, convenient shuttle service, and compact layout of the resort are definite advantages. However, these positives do not make up for the many problems with the rooms, food selection, Wi-Fi, towels, mosquito control, and customer service. A resort of this size should be better managed and maintained, especially when guests are paying for an all-inclusive vacation. Management needs to pay much more attention to the condition of the facilities and the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not choose this resort again unless these issues are properly addressed.
Wonderful hotel! Entertainment was great! Carlos is fantastic!
The location, atmosphere and rooms were good. However, the room maintenance and service was pathetic. We checked in to our room and found there were no toiletries. Plus, the flush tank was heavily leaking, getting water flooding in the toilet. When the room service were made aware, they say “ coming in two minutes “ and then they disappear. This happened thrice. 4 times we had to go personally to the guest relations to highlight our misery. We found out at night that the AC panel which regulates the AC temperature does not function and we spent the night in unbearable cold temperature. Next day they took 1-1/2 hours to rectify the AC issue, wasting our time and ultimately shifted us to another room. Oliver from Guest relations was quite understanding and helped us in shifting our room. Food is the same spread for all meals. Breakfast is same daily and lunch spread also same everyday. The only good service is s of the Serving staff at the main buffet area, who are very prompt and attentive.
Is great location as is in a private area of White Sand Bávaro. The beach got lot of waves but the water don get on top of the middle of the body for a few miles. We hay a love customer services specially from Digital, Yulian at the lobby bar the house keeper was fantastic (2224) and the restaurants was lovely.
I am currently on holiday at this hotel. Firstly, I would like to say, the location, beach, hotel and rooms are very nice. The food is absolutely dire. Poor quality, repetitive and of an inferior quality. We have been to the Japanese, the Dominican and the Brazilian and we didn’t not stay after the starters… all from a set menu, no à la carte option. We were able to use the dining area in the buffet situated to the left, much more preferable experience. The bar staff are, in general surly and unapproachable. You will read the reviews, like I did and think, well it can’t be that bad and overlook it and honestly, you will regret it. I am nearly 60 and I enjoy good quality fresh food. The food is without doubt the reason I will not recommend this place. Such a shame as it could be so much more. I will happily come back to the Dominican… but will avoid this hotel unless the quality of food and manners of staff improve
