Grand Palladium Select Bávaro

We purchased a 3 night stay at the Grand Palladium Select Bavaro resort Sept 2026. We paid extra to stay in a Romance Suite that included a private pool as well as our own private outdoor shower/hammock room. We encountered many issues and contacted the hotel approximately 15 times during the 3 day stay to report all the issues - we called them from our room using their telephone, we reported them in person at the lobby and we reported them to numerous persons including Rasmos (who was great and tried to help). Day 1 - both locks were broken on our front door and the back sliding glass door so we called and had to wait for maintenance to come and fix both locks. We could not leave the room until they arrived and fixed both locks. Later day 1, we could not get into our room and we found Rasmos who called maintenance who had to replace the batteries in the electronic lock on the front door. And, the biggest issue is that we had NO hot water in the shower, the tub, the sinks, nor in the outdoor shower. Note, we did not have any hot water until 4:30pm EST on Day 3! And, we reported the issue several times each day. On day 1, three maintenance technicians came to the room and fixed the hot water issue by entering the locked HVAC closet in our room, however the fix only lasted about 10 minutes (I have a picture of them in the shower as the lead technician appeared to be training the other two guys). Also, our private pool lights and jets did not turn on at night (all others did in the area since these types of rooms are grouped together and you walk A LOT at this resort). Day 2 - no hot water at all again. And, the toilet stopped working on day 2, it would not flush. A maintenance person came a few hours later (same guy from day 1), and he took the panel off the back of the toilet and opened the locked HVAC door in our room. He was able to fix the toilet. Day 3 - no hot water until 4:30pm! The pool lights did not work. Then, on two separate occasions, the in-room safe stopped working (error messages displayed). Finally, the pressure from having to listen to their SALES presentation is immense - they schedule to eat breakfast with you then take via golf cart to the SALES building and they tell you "they won't get paid" if they don't get you to attend the SALES presentation and if you do not stay until the end of the presentation as they feed on your kindness about getting their families paid. Positive side - food was good pools nice.

We have stayed in Dominican before, this hotel, the staff and facilities were good. The pool bar staff, Carlos, Jose and Alverez, were great, brought laughter, fun and a welcoming smile. The coffee shop and the staff who work there were such a luxury in itself, good options, great food and coffee all day and night. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The gym had a great set up to keep your fitness on track and I used this 4 times each week. The spa is one of the best I have accessed within the Dominican, it has a mud treatment area as part of the day pass, it truly is a hidden gem. One of the issues was the use of the buffets in the morning and evening. We were unable to use the Nest on a few evenings but not made aware and needed to go to Las Torres, has we had known, we would have booked an Al a Carte. There was issues with the hot water which was part resolved within our stay, we worked out you had to run the taps, bath and shower for 10 minutes before you got hot water.

We had a great time at the Palladium. We always enjoy staying there. The people are great. It feels like a family. Everyone is always so happy and welcoming.

The Grand Palladium never disappoints. This was our second time at the Punta Cana property. We had an awesome time as usual. The staff is always top notch, so nice. The food, drinks and pools are all fantastic
