Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort and Aqua Games

Initial first impression after a long day travelling wasn’t positive. Not a very lively vibe, not many English speaking guests and the buffet restaurant was shocking. Positives :- really good pool area and things going on during the day. Snack bar during the day was good burgers jacket potatoes chicken strips. Pizza available from 11-5 and was lovely. Good range of drinks available day and night although tasted inconsistent depending on what bar you ordered from. No sun bed wars and the beach from day 3 had cleared of seaweed and was lovely. Waterpark, coffee shop and sports bar all nice touches. All in all a really enjoyable experience during the day. Rooms were modern and adequately cleaned. Negatives:- The vibe at night was very Latino based with lots of rude guests thinking they had priority and regularly pushing in and thinking they own the place and sometimes the staff would prioritise them. This was not always the case. Constant bites and stings from wasps and mosquitoes. The theatre at night was just rows of chairs watching whatever was on. The actual games nights men v women etc put on by the animation team were actually better than the professional shows.It wasn’t really a fun environment and would benefit from some tables and chairs grouped together and better lay out then everyone can mingle and chat whilst watching instead of just sat in a row. Was other options to sit outside but just constantly got bit . To sum up we really enjoyed our daytimes but not so much the evenings. The grounds are lovely and people need to realise this is a really good value hotel for what we paid. I would vibe back if I got a good deal on the knowledge that there isn’t much happening in the evening. The staff seem to get criticised a lot too which is unfair as the majority we came across was lovely.

We had.a great 11 night stay although had a few problems with the initial room we were allocated. After contacting reception this was quickly dealt with and our room was changed straight away. The resort in my opinion is definitely not 5 star so don’t be expecting luxury. The staff were lovely and friendly and there was plenty of food and drink choices available throughout the day. We enjoyed the restaurants and often booked into these on an evening. The Michael Jackson show was very good and overall we had a great holiday would I return probably not.

Grand sirenis is a lovely hotel great atmosphere great entertainers especially (bombon) the entertainment throughout the day is great would definitely recommend to bring your kids here ,they offer some great trips .The pool bar food is the best place to eat at but unfortunately it closes at a certain time .

Alberto and Bianca were the best chef and server! They fed us very well. We laughed we caught food with our mouths, and met people from different countries. The Ichibana restaurant is a must go see and taste experience

Brilliant holiday. Bombon made our holiday so much fun. Great with the adults and children
