Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort and Aqua Games

Our 4th time visiting Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames was so much fun. We surprised our daughter & her partner by being there when they arrived. We could not have pulled it off without the help of our Concierge, Yeralfis and Butler, Vladimir. They really went the extra mile for us, The staff at this resort absolutely make your stay a wonderful and fun experience. Every single one we encountered was polite, friendly and a common reply when we thanked them was, “It is my pleasure.” The Animation team are so welcoming and engaging and we also enjoyed the nightly entertainment from shows at the theatre to events at the outdoor plaza and various areas around the resort. Our room was very comfortable, mini fridge stocked daily, A/C kept us cool and beds were comfortable as well. The resort grounds are very well maintained, the groundskeepers there do an excellent job. Not all A La Cartes were open every day as it was low season. They alternated the openings so we still had the opportunity to dine at all of them. The food was very good, the buffet has something for everyone and the À la carte menus had some excellent choices as well.

The service was very nice, there rooms, the amount of activities and people were incredible. Diosmery the girl working on the restaurants and buffet is very special, she is the best, she recommended us places to go and always answer our question. Thank you to all the staff and good servers. I will say the only issue I had was food. They have a good variety but more Americanized or European. I think being in Dominican a menu that includes more Dominican food ( unos tostones, banano cocinado, mofongo, un tres golpes, unos buenos frijolitos hacen falta de vez en cuando).

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody. Basic health and safety standards aren’t met onsite. Namely, cables hanging out the sides of the pool under the water, I wouldn’t allow my son to swim in there. How a child has not drowned yet by becoming entangled is beyond me. There was another accident at the side of the pool, a guy severed his toe on the edge of a sharp stainless plate that was an inadequate size and was placed across a large circular hole in the side of the pool wall, leaving a gap top and bottom. We witnessed staff brushing his blood into the pool which is a bio hazard. The pool was kept open. Absolutely unbelievable! We had a room change the first day as our room had not been adequately cleaned, it wreaked of damp and the air con was leaking. We changed to a room that was cleaner but still smelt of damp. No bed was made up for our son, three pillows were left on the double bed for all of us. It took 5 hours me chasing reception to get a bed made up, after a very long day travelling. Eventually a maintenance guy was sent and not housekeeping to make up the bed. The cleaning was inadequate and the bed changes were an actual nightmare to get done. Food was always cold in the buffet restaurants, it wasn’t changed regular for fresh. The pool bar food in particular was not rotated and it was just left to dry out all Day. The place was full of flies, I just couldn’t eat in there. Drinks were never stocked at the bar, trying to get a cocktail that wasn’t already frozen was nearly impossible, Fanta was never available. Staff were rude and very unhelpful, upselling is huge at the hotel and be wary of getting roped into a ‘complimentary breakfast’ it’s basically a 3 hour hard sell for exclusive members status. Laughable seeing as they couldn’t even get the basics right for non exclusive members. Beach was full of seaweed and some days it was just left to build, the smell was absolutely stomach churning and again was a health hazard. Activities regularly ran late and children were just left waiting around for staff to start them. We provided TUI with all the evidence when we returned home and secured compensation, they themselves said the accommodation and service received fell short of TUI standards. Absolutely diabolical ….AVOID.

This was our 3rd time to this hotel. There has been a change in the restaurants. The service is not has good as in the past but there's some staff that make tour stay great. This time the food was always cold we British like hot food jacket potatoes was a nice change in the buffet. We had a family suite that was very nice clean and spacious. Maid would forget coffee some times but was always clean.pool was always nice but could be cleaned more often. What I noticed this time was less spraying for mosquitoes so had lots of bites. The buffet was hit and miss as only one side open now the water park was nice and clean but have changed the food now and I prefer how it was now it like stale burgers and hotdogs. The beach was kept as clean as they could had some sea weed but was cleaned ev6day .if your looking for a good family stay in the Dominican this is probably your best choice and dont break the bank will I ne back well if the price is right yes .thank you to joanna in the buffet and lorenzo at the beach bar .

We visited as a family of 9 and had a fantastic time at Grand Sirenis! From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definitely return. On arrival we were greeted with drinks and luggage porters which was greatly welcomed after a long journey. Check-in was very quick and efficient. Our hotel room was clean, modern and comfortable, and a big thank you to our cleaner, who was so friendly and left our room spotlessly clean every single day. The kids absolutely loved all the entertainment, water slides and swimming pools, which kept them entertained throughout our stay. We spent most of our days relaxing by the pool, as the sea could be a little rough at times, although we did venture across to the beach a couple of times. The bar service was excellent, and we never had an empty glass at any of the bar outlets! The food was pretty decent across breakfast, lunch and dinner, with plenty of choice in the main buffet restaurants. The staff were always friendly, attentive and welcoming, which really made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We tried the à la carte restaurants twice, but the children preferred the variety available in the buffet, so we mainly ate there. Overall, we had a brilliant family holiday with something for everyone. A huge thank you to the whole Grand Sirenis team for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable.
