Punta Cana Princess

I have no idea how this place has so many 5 star reviews! Upon arriving our reservation could not be found and was then found with dates 6 months ago; all of my documents had the proper dates. After getting that resolved we were given our room number and told where to go. We walked around with our luggage and up then downstairs (no elevators) to find our room, eventually I found a worker to help us, and he said to come with him back to the front desk. They had given us a nonexistent room. No apology, just given a new room number and keys. After finally finding out room and opening the doors we were hit with a strong mold/mildew smell. Room was nice but very outdated and not well kept. AC was cool but not cold. Several other couples traveling had complained that their AC didn't work and rooms were HOT. The grounds are beautiful and pool was nice. Really enjoyed having umbrellas wherever we sat and the beach hut umbrellas were great. The chairs however need some upkeep as several were broken. The drinks at the bars were not good we tried multiple servers and bars and the drinks were just gross. All of the workers were not pleasant to interact with we constantly felt like we were inconveniencing them. If you wanted a drink at the swim up bar good luck because you constantly got ignored, we tried tipping extra but that didn't help. Food was ok, but the buffet food was constantly recycled leftovers, and the birds and flies were a problem getting on the food. The steakhouse was our favorite food of the trip and highly recommend. We didn't get to try the other places because they are closed some days (Steakhouse closed Sunday/Italian closed Monday) We were only provided two towels in our room. When those were soiled, we asked for replacements and were told they would 'be right up' we had to ask 5 more times and finally got new towels on our last night! No washcloths are in the rooms. Had issues with the toilet not flushing and it was never addressed. Our room keys stopped working one night and we had to go up to the front desk to replace. This also happened to other guests during our stay. If you want towels for the pool you must go to the towel hut located on the beach and you are only allowed ONE per guest. So, if it gets wet or dirty you have to walk back to the towel hut and exchange which is very inconvenient. Checkout was easy it was nice to be able to stay until noon for checkout it allowed us to enjoy a few hours before our flights left. Transport with Amstar was flawless. I would absolutely NOT return here or recommend to anyone. Paid too much money to encounter all the of the problems and experiences that we did.

Another fabulous vacation, This time met with a surprise of family meeting us there. This is our 29 th time here. The staff, all of them, make our time here wonderful. The resort is small, all adult and easy to find everything. I never have a problem with food , but there could be more gluten free options. Smiles are in abundance here , service is always impeccable. If there are problems just see Alexander or Raul and all will be sorted out. It’s easy to see why there are repeat guests here. It’s not really fancy, but it’s comfortable , clean and really, how often are you in your room. ? They truly are our “ segunda familia” Thankyou to all who work so hard here. We will be back….always.

Truly amazing staff and resort! If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway for a girls trip I would highly recommend. The staff did their best to ensure that my friend and I were taken care of and safe. Honorable mentions to Alexander, Nelson, Ariel, Melany, and Frank!! I did unfortunately forget some of the other staff names but they are all very delightful

This was our first All inclusive ever. The resort was beautiful and clean but lacked activities. Pool closes at 7, we were not comfortable going to the beach when dark. Buffet was not great. We stayed 7 nights and only 2 evenings the food was appealing. Misleading advertisement for their “seafood/sailor feast” night. Cannot remember the name the advertised it as. Breakfast was mainly the same each day. Scrambled eggs were very runny, omelette maker took a long time, could have used a second egg cooker. Best part was the fresh fruit at every meal. We went to the buffet daily for breakfast and lunch. Tried all the other restaurants at the resort all the other nights. Food at the restaurants was all very good. Key cards had to be reprogrammed several days of our stay. You are able to use the sister resort next to this one which the buffet was better when we did use it. For what we paid, I cannot complain, but would have enjoyed better food and more activities at the resort.

Absolutely not a 5 star hotel. Maybe 3 Star at BEST! The food is horrendous! I had many things (clothes and other items that don’t fit inside the safe stolen). The staff are nothing but a bunch of charlatans and scammers, don’t expect ANY truth from them. Ever since the Covid 19, the hotel has significantly deteriorated in all aspects. Stay away, and don’t even come, unless you expect a 1-2 star level food quality, and a 2 star service.
