Riu Palace Punta Cana

Overall the Riu Palace is a beautiful property well maintained but our room needed a little tlc, needs some updating. The restaurants had a variety of food, would have liked more wine selection especially for dinner. The overall service was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to rest and relax.

Quick trip love it 9 out of 10. Beautiful had a lot to offer way more than I thought. Love the food buffet style was my favorite and the drinks were amazing. My view wasn’t all that face a building but I only slept in my room otherwise i stayed busy. This place offers a lot will stay there again

Everything was as expected. Very friendly staff, super helpful. Couldn't ask for a cleaner resort, everywhere from the room, to the walks, the grounds, the beach, the pools and the restaurants were all very well kept and clean. Well done RIU. We will be back!

Great Experience in Rui Palace. What’s a trip without Love. I had a great time. My wife and I had a wonderful celebration of our anniversary. After twelve years of marriage this is where we chose to celebrate our anniversary.

Let me start by saying that this was our honeymoon. Based on the hotel's name, which suggests high quality, and the price, we had correspondingly high expectations. Unfortunately, they weren't met. The main problem was the room – it was simply dirty, and the floor hadn't been cleaned. Crumbs and other debris from previous guests were visible under the bed. We killed two bedbugs in the room. Their carcasses, along with other debris from the floor, weren't cleaned up during our entire stay. Despite the tips we left, we felt that the only thing the housekeeping staff did was make the bed. The equipment included a moldy bedspread, traces of mold on the sofa, and on the walls. The room reeked of mold, permeating all our belongings. The stench couldn't be removed by air conditioning or ventilation. The bathroom had thick limescale deposits on the shower faucet and thick layers of water stains on the wall – as if they had never been cleaned. Water leaked through the leaky shower tray and spread throughout the room. We didn't report this to the front desk because of the comments about the hotel service – specifically, according to the comments, they take revenge on guests who report such issues. The service, with a few exceptions among the waiters and bartenders, was unpleasant and focused on tips for completing minimum duties. The aqua fitness instructors were dismissive of their work, spending more time on their phones than instructing guests, so each session lasted about 10-15 minutes. The hotel infrastructure was comfortable, with plenty to do, and there was never a dull moment. The a la carte restaurants had a distinct smell of mold.
