Riu Palace Punta Cana

The property is appealing, though the room carries a sewage odor. The bathroom shower contained hair, and the bed felt exceptionally firm.

It started off okay me and my partner arrived end of September started off okay we had to carry our suitcases all the way to our room 5 star hotel and we didnt even get help my partner was struggling with hers as it was damaged no one came to help us and we got told we had no one to help we stayed in 4 star were they litteraly took us all the way not this hotel my partner got spoken like crap at the hotel a man called seol pushed his fingers in my partners face because he couldn't understand english it took me litteraly 4 times to see 4 different managers to sort it out no respect whatsoever. Mini bar the amount of times I had to keep asking because it never got filled and it took them 4 hours to come and fill it absolute joke I wont be staying at a riu again especially the reception staff aren't helpful barely tell you what's actually on in the hotel or were the main restaurant is for breakfast wont be coming here again dont pay all that money to be spoken to like crap and the service was terrible from the start.

It was a wonderful time at a fantastic hotel. We had booked a different hotel, which turned out to be a terrible choice, so we moved to Riu Palace Punta Cana. This turned out to be an ideal choice.

Staff were very attentive, hotel lovely, rooms very clean and comfy. Food was good. Would definitely come back

Came to this hotel 7 years ago and it was great however this time it was dreadful. The swim up bar was filthy and the barmen are happy to repeatedly give out drinks even when it was clear that people were all over the place, passing out in the pool and having to be dragged out and wheelchaired back to rooms. Why did they keep serving? This clearly led to people arguing and fighting. There doesn't seem to be any rules with people playing their own music even though it states not to. Children were also allowed in and it really isn't a place where children can witness what we did. The first room 3050 was filthy however the Tui rep soon got us moved to a much nicer room 1056. I thought the food was very average and mostly not hot. Cleanliness in the hotel was good but a lot of attention was made to the lobby and bar. The themed restaurants were a let down too, I will not be returning!
