Riu Republica

Horrible. Worst RIU experience ever. AC did not work, had bed begs, and we saw two roaches in our room. Room 2243. Also, Manager made us walk to gate with our luggage when we had a driver up there waiting on us to take us to airport. Never Going Back. Actually scard of RIU NOW

Great Hotel, very clean, very polite staff always willing to help. Good food, drinks and entertainment.

The service attendance and waiter/waitress were excellent ans attentive. However, the check-in experience was horrible. After I enter the complex waited in a long line, once I each the receptionist I was informed that i could not bring my luggage to the counter. I had to place my luggage in the destinated unsecured area and go to the rear of the line. This is after traveling 4.5 hrs. This policy absolutely made no sense why couldn’t I wheel my luggage with me? why was I not informed prior the entering the complex? Why was there not someone watching my luggage?? First impressions mean everything.

The property is clean every where you go on the site. The personal are doing a very good job. Animation is on the top, food are good. If you are looking for a place for party, it is the perfect pkace, I am very satisfied of this. But the room service need to be improved. In the reception, personal do not react faster and do not have a good following of the issues that you report about your room.

Me and my partner travelled all the way from London so after reading some of the low reviews we were slightly worried.However- We had the best time at Riu Republica!!! Our room was spotless, our cleaning lady was absolutely lush and always made it look pretty with cute flowers every day. Our fridge and coffee was always stocked up and kept on top of. Always had multiple clean white towels daily. We had shampoo, conditioner and body soap provided for us and they all smelt lush and tropical- we used them more than we used our own. The staff again are absolutely amazing! They're always happy lol, you can tell they all love their jobs which is nice (I mean who wouldn’t love working there) The food was also amazing! I don’t eat meat and there was a lot of options for me, my partner however loves it and there was also a lot of options for him. The staff were amazing in the restaurants specifically the main buffet, all so kind and welcoming, they were always happy and dancing, refilling our drinks whenever it looked like we needed a refill etc. Not one staff member at Republica asked for a tip but they definitely all deserved one! The pools were lush! It was so nice going for night swims every night. The pools weren’t deep and there wasn’t any diving boards like we are used to in our Europe holidays but they were still lush! Especially with the built in sunbeds! The water park was also fun- we were belly laughing all day. The party’s were AMAZING! We had the best time!!! Even the staff at the bar were joining in- it was so nice to see! Again you can really tell they love their jobs! The white party was our favourite, they really went all out. The beach was so pretty! The sand is so white. A lot of people say they get sick here and blame the food however neither of us got sick or had a bad stomach. I do think that stems down to the water- the hotel provided us with a lot of bottled water to drink and to brush our teeth with etc. The water they use in the bars and the ice are all filtered and fine to drink too! 10/10 recommend we can’t wait to come back next year!!!!!!
