Royalton Punta Cana, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort & Casino

I am beyond disappointed with my stay at Royalton Punta Cana. From the moment we arrived, everything went wrong. We were supposed to check in at 3 p.m., but our room was not ready until 5:30 p.m. When we got in, the room was damp and musty, and one of the lights was broken. It was a horrible experience. The resort is outdated, the service was terrible, and the quality of the food was disgraceful. The resort claimed to offer luxury, but this was far from it. The food was cold, the drinks were watered down, and the staff was rude and unhelpful. To make matters worse, the pool was dirty and crowded, and there was no hot water in the shower. I would not recommend this resort to anyone, and I would never return. Save your money and stay away from Royalton Punta Cana.

Arrived yesterday ask ground room as person with is disabled never got it also 4 hours for my cases and room as not cleanest or best very dispontted kelvin our butler introduced him self was lovely but only our first night hoping get this sorted no one seem understand me terrible

What a beautiful hotel and beautiful location the best is very choppy so didn’t spend much time there but the pools are beautiful the food in the restaurant stake house Italian and jade was lush the all you can eat buffet gave me a really bad belly some nights The entertainment at night was good something for everyone to enjoy but most off all the entertainment team the go above and beyond for the guests especially Bernard what a guy that all work incredibly hard there was a few staff that were a little rude the sports bar staff especially very rude but we didn’t let this spoil our time at punta carna coco bongos is a must to do and we did the scape park also amazing the shops in the hotel are very expensive £8 for some crisps but you don’t have an option as there is no we’re near by to nip to like a local shop the rooms are very big and very clean always came back to clean towels and clean bedsheets all in all our time at the Royalton punta carna has been amazing

Great holiday with family and will be coming back and also shoutout to juan who helped my family a lot this holiday and I will send my regards to him especially

My honest review of Royalton Punta Cana — okay overall, but not five-star The biggest disappointment for us was the beach. There are large anti-erosion sandbags along the resort’s beachfront, which really spoil its appearance. They were covered in algae and seaweed and looked as though they had been there for some time. I understand they may serve a purpose, but it wasn’t the pristine Caribbean beach we had imagined. Walking along to neighbouring resorts, the beaches appeared much flatter and smoother, without the same bags. The food was okay overall, but I wouldn’t describe it as five-star. Much of it was lukewarm, and a lot of the fried food was overcooked — sometimes fried to within an inch of its life. That said, I can’t complain about the variety. We always managed to find something to eat, and the grill station was a particular highlight. Service was very mixed. Many of the staff were good, but some people in customer-facing roles really let the hotel down. The snack van stood out: during our visits, the staff came across as consistently rude and unwelcoming, with barely a smile. The kids’ club was another disappointment. Our son is six, and we’ve experienced much better entertainment teams at other resorts. Communication was difficult because several team members spoke little English and our son doesn’t speak Spanish, which made it harder for him to engage. The activities also seemed quite limited. At other resorts, kids’ clubs have taken children around the grounds and organised a variety of activities. Here, they appeared to spend most of their time inside a fairly small kids’ club building. For a five-star family resort, we expected more. Based on our experience, I would also recommend booking excursions through TUI rather than Royalton. We wished we had stuck with TUI. You may pay a little more, but we found the overall experience much better, and having an English-speaking guide or translator makes a real difference. Overall, our stay was okay, but it fell short of expectations. There were positives, including the food variety and some lovely staff, but the beach, inconsistent service and disappointing kids’ club let it down. In my opinion, this felt more like a three- to four-star experience than the five-star Caribbean holiday we were expecting.
