Royalton Splash Punta Cana Resort & Spa

Hello I am here to leave my honest review as this is my first time at this resort but I come to the Domincan one to two times a year, I was with my sister and my 17 y o daughter and 8 y o son. He had a blast and doesn't see cons lol . My daughter also had a blast and the only complaint she has was the waves lol . She had diarrhea every day though. . This was my first Luxury. VIP - resort. If the buffet on splash side was open it wpuldve made my stay 100 times better. FOOD: Very good. Always different. BUT with the Splash side buffet NOT open which really sucked because there is NOTHING to eat on the Splash side except Beans Cafe which has donuts. And the BITES snack bar that only has hamburgers hot dogs and fries so you have no choice but to take the trolley which takes forever or sometimes you have to wait for another one because they are always full.(TROLLEYS DO NOT GO TO BEACH) A la carte's were way too much food portions. But very good. The Tepenaki was very good. Staff amazing in the a la carte's. BARS/SNACK BARS - nothing to complain about POOLS : AMAZING there were tons of them - There is a quiet pool WITH a swim up bar (3 in total over the entire resorts) quiet diamond only pool is near the front of splash lobby. there is also another bar there. PUNTA CANA SIDE POOLS AMAZING as well. There is a Diamond only beach area and bar service WITH FOOD. very nice. BEACH WAS TERRIBLE at the diamond side. The barrier is exposed and ugly. No seaweed. The water ate my prescription sunglasses that's how wavey it was. One day we were not even allowed to go in the ocean. Right side of beach was nice but yellow flag daily. Also there is a HIDEWAY side that is 18 plus but that is white bracelets only. Higher than Diamond. WATERPARK : AMAZING - they have a pretty cool wave pool I must say lol BUFETT: Amazing, but staff were not very good. Sometimes I would be finished my food before even getting water. BIG FRUSTRATION. No option to get your own drinks like some buffets at other resorts ENTERTAINMENT: AMAZING - nothing to complain about - always something on both sides. ROOM SERVICE: takes 40-60 minutes - free for DIAMOND and small selection but overall good. MAID SERVICE - I truely don't think they every washed the floors my feet and socks were always black. ROOM - Our room was a double room with 2 balconies and no matter how many times i asked it took 4 days to fix the lights on BOTH sides. I like to sit outside and chill at night and couldn't the first 3 nights. Butler: Nayala i think her name was , she was amazing but didn't really need one. I can't comment on the booze cause I only stick to whiskey and or coke or sprite. Overall I Wouldn't come back to this resort for the amount that I paid. Well maybe, if the buffet side is open on splash side and i prob wouldn't do diamond again.

The resort it self let us down a bit in the beginning, then we spoke with duarlyn medrano from guest services and that changed our stay. This was a true gentleman who supported us and helped us with our problems. His service definitely deserves 5 stars. Lovely!

I made a reservation for one night and arrived at the hotel around 2:00 PM. I was checked in, and up to that point, everything was fine. I was then told that my room would be ready at 3:00 PM and that I could use the hotel’s facilities while I waited. I returned to the lobby at 3:20 PM, only to be made to wait in line for an hour and twenty minutes. Finally, at 5:00 PM, I was told that my room was still not ready. Aside from the receptionist, who did an excellent job (Franchesca), I honestly think the hotel’s organization is terrible and definitely not recommendable. It’s already after 5:00 PM, and I still haven’t received any response or solution regarding the room I paid for. Terrible service and absolutely no effective execution when it comes to resolving issues. I would NOT come back, and I definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel.

It was a horrible experience. I have never been more disappointed with an “all-inclusive” resort. A lot of facilities closed due to construction, every where you move you find a “non included area”, the day you have to check put they make sure to let you know EVERYWHERE that you cannot eat or drink anything anymore. The “24/7” room service is not all the time. They close every now and then and take their time to deliver your order. The staff is not anywhere near the kindness of a luxury resort. I’ve been going to all-inclusive resorts for the last 10 years and this is BY FAR the worst experience I’ve been. Just save some time and money and go somewhere else.

The entire experience was one of a kind. The staff made everything truly efficient. From personalized check in to the numerous options for breakfast lunch and dinner and not to mention the drink options. We came as a couple and my husband and I will definitely return. Our favorite restaurant was the Bella Cucina. The staff in particular Sorainny was so personable we felt like we were friends truly a wonderful young lady dedicated to her profession. I would recommend anyone attend.
