My husband & I stayed here for 1 week in July 2026. My parents stayed during the same month, but for 2 weeks. I will start off on a positive. The beach is beautiful (albeit very crowded with loungers). The grounds of the hotel are also very beautiful and well kept. However, this hotel, at very best, is nothing more than a 3 star resort. It has very tired rooms, which are not cleaned to a high standard and are in need of renewal. The reception area and communal areas are also very tired looking. Upon check in, we were given no directions, no map, no advice on where to find restaurants etc. We were also not advised of the additional charge for using the Safety Deposit box which is payable on checkout - that was not a nice suprise! The bedding / sheets are stained and during our 1 week stay, were only changed once - the day before we flew home. The mini bar in the room is not replenished, apart from 2 x bottles of water every other day, if you're lucky. We were left no towels or not enough towels on several occasions, resulting in many calls to reception and a long wait for them to arrive. The main bar areas are swarming with honey bees, which often results in bees in drinks whilst they're being poured. The bar staff do their best with this situation, but it is clearly a problem and one that needs addressing. Food in the buffet restaurant was tasty and fairly varied. However, breakfasts were often cold. Fresh juices are non-existent - they are cordial of some sort. Drinks in general are of poor quality. The cocktails taste dreadful and most drinks are served in well used, dirty plastic cups - even in the evening. Table service doesn't exist if you're English. The staff at this hotel clearly favour other Nationalities, such as French & Spanish. This is also the case at the bar, where on many occasions, whilst waiting to be served, we were overlooked and guests of different Nationalities were served before us, even though they were behind us in the queue! This is the worst hotel we have stayed in, in the Caribbean, and we have stayed in a few in DR and other islands. Overall, beautiful beach & grounds. Poor quality drinks. Terrible service from staff. Unclean rooms and facilities.
ALERT ALERT ALERT!!!!!!. Do not go to this resort! Went from July 24 to July 30 2026. First of all the front desk people are the rudest people, they won’t do anything for Canadians. We are a senior couple who requested a ground floor room 2 weeks before we arrived, when we arrived we were told they don’t have any and are room was on a higher floor, then we were told to wait a hour as they found a room on ground floor. The room was at the back of property facing a parking lot, a room that was furthest away from everything. They advertise a mini bar in your room! NOT! Only 2 bottles of water a day! Had to go buy are own beer and sodas from outside store. Are room flooded everyday due to a leaking pipe in the hallway and were told they fixed the issue. NOT. They scooped the water out of the closet in the hallway and moped the floor. Come on!!! Are safe was locked when we arrived, told it was 2 dollars a day and someone would come to open it. NOT!! Had to wait 2 days before they opened it. We ask to change the room and were told they didn’t have any, the front desk people were ignorant and didn’t care. The one girl at the front desk, Ana was so rude she just kept pushing us away. Finally track down the hotel manger who was a true gentleman and had us moved 3days into our vacation.( your front desk people are your first line of making customers happy, not this place.) finally got a new room on second floor and could see the girl Ana was so pissed the manager moved us. Then the tv in the new room was not working, called the desk and were told someone would come, NOT! 2 days later a guy named Angel in lobby called maintenance and they were there in 10 minutes, I just want to WARN everyone about this resort that they won’t give you American change for your money. They won’t even change a 20 dollar bill so you can give tips. I’m not wasting any more time on this resort but I just want to WARN people not to go here, you would be treated better at the dog pound!!!2 bottles of of water a day!!! Come on Wyndham resorts!! You advertise all inclusive resorts, this place should be shut down asap!!!

Overall an average hotel. No where near the 4 star we booked. Food was average at best, nearly impossible to book into the la a carte restaurant as per TUI’s or the hotels promises. Buffet was a free for all. Staff were largely miserable and unhelpful unless you are from Argentina. Only guests they seemed concerned about. These guests were rude and obnoxious and spoilt large parts of the holiday. It ruined the atmosphere for any European guests. Air conditioning leaked in the room and wasn’t fixed all week which was no great surprise. Rooms were tidied daily with fresh towels provided. Changed beach towels once but the girl who did this was probably the rudest on site which took some doing! Only staff that were interested were the ones trying to sell club Viva but I wouldn’t take that for free!! Bar staff made a different drink to that ordered most of the time. It was a real shame because the location and grounds are stunning. Guests services just point you to the app but this doesn’t tell you where most of the events are actually happening so wasn’t useful. Our rep was also hopeless (not the hotels fault but TUI don’t seem to care about customer service any more) We made the best of it here but won’t return
We have just returned from this hotel. There are a few things that were not good, but overall we did have a pleasant stay. Our room was nice, clean and spacious, however the air con leaked daily leaving a pool of water on the floor. the beach is stunning and the grounds are very well kept. We did not find the majority of the staff friendly or helpful and they barely even smiled. firstly, we found our way around the resort by chance, we were told to download the app but this did not detail where anything was or what was happening or where. We kind of found things by accident. We could only book into 2 restaurants and when we asked about this on day one, as we should have been able to book into more (and we asked on more than one occasion during the holiday) we were told “sorry every restaurant is full, it’s just how it is”. No two drinks were ever the same. there is an extensive cocktail menu but most of the time were told “no we don’t have that” or the drinks were made with a can’t be bothered attitude and just seemed to be made up as they went along. The Tui rep was awful and didn’t know anything and clearly did not communicate with the hotel as the hotel knew nothing about our pre booked excursion through Tui and neither did the rep. We waited at the barrier for the coach that didn’t arrive, asked the hotel staff who sent us to the pier, who sent us somewhere else on the beach, who sent us back to reception, before the coach finally arrived 30 mins late. No one seemed to want to help with anything to be honest. The buffet restaurants were like a free for all and manic. Food was nice, but was a bit sporadic with running out etc. One restaurant didn’t even serve drinks (the tent below the main buffet) . I did feel that other nationalities were favoured over us English guests. We saw staff with argentinian face paints for the football and they just seemed to be a lot more attentive to Argentinian guests throughout our stay. Overall we made the most of it. like i said at the beginning we did have a pleasant stay, but this was due to the beautiful surroundings and our family time together. We did not feel very welcome really and will not be booking with Viva again.
