Viva Dominicus Palace by Wyndham

Wow! The beach is amazing, we snorkeled with the kids and saw many little fish. There are paddle boards, kayaks, so many different sports, it's hard to pick. The Trapeze set up was a big hit with young and old. Great excursions to pick from. We really enjoyed the 24/7 pizzeria. Massages on the beach, braids and fish that eat the dead skin from your feat! Evening entertainment, helpful staff. Our experience as a whole was really great.

We stayed at Viva Wyndham Dominican Palace for four days and three nights and checked in on a Monday. Check-in was extremely fast and very informative, which was a great start. I loved the wristband keys—so convenient. Cleanliness was my number one priority, and our room was spotless. The whole resort was very clean too. The beach was amazing. The buffet was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the pizza being open 24/7 was a huge plus. The staff was super nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were there with three families and we all had an amazing time. The atmosphere was so relaxing. There are plenty of things to do. The trapeze was a huge attraction for us. We’ll definitely be back. Five stars.

The Beach and Pools were incredible, busy but never overcrowded. It rarely rained, even when predicted. Any time it got a bit cloudy it provided a break from the hot sun. The entire resort was massive, well maintained and clean. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Juice and Espresso drinks are available all day. The food was really good and the buffets (many) had plenty of options for everyone. Some restaurants were better than others. The VIVA app was actually quite helpful and we referenced it throughout our entire stay. You can get by with some basic Spanish or French. A few staff do speak some English and everything is written in various languages. You can pay with USD or Dominican pesos interchangeably in and out of the resort. Tips for young kids: bring sand toys and a life jacket/floaty. The middle of the main beach is the quietest as waves travel to the left and right sides. Cons: no wifi in the room, the kid’s zone with outdoor slides could also be improved. Tiered memberships and cultural specific programs seem to be very apparent here but you can still have a good time.

Location: ++++++ Atmosphere: VERY VERY SAFE Rooms: big enough, and convenient Service: A PLUS, I have been here for 2 months, and I can NOT say anything wrong about this hotel. FRANSHESKA, front desk supervisor, she was very helpful with accommodation, etc , etc, etc. ANGEL, who is supervisor of house keeping, staff, reception’s chief, and other depts, he was more than excellent and easy to talk too. RADAMES, supervisor of all rest ins the entire hotel, he try’s as much as he can to please everyone. I’m general, I have been coming to this hotel for many years, and looking forward to come back for many more years.
