Movenpick Resort Lamantin Saly

It was a place to visit for our honeymoon. We enjoyed it and would like to come back. The people ( stuff ) are wonderful. 👍🏾

Our stay at Mövenpick Saly was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, nowhere near the standard we expected from a resort of this caliber. The biggest issue was the lack of professionalism, urgency, and customer service from the staff. It seemed like every request was treated as if it were an inconvenience, and there was very little effort to actually resolve problems in a timely manner. Our first room was dirty and had a broken TV. When we asked to change rooms, the staff initially refused. It took a significant amount of frustration and me explaining that I would have to leave a negative review before they finally agreed to move us. Unfortunately, the second room was also not properly prepared. The previous guest’s breakfast was still sitting on the deck, which made it very clear that the room and outdoor area had not been thoroughly cleaned. To make matters worse, the door to the room was broken. We reported it three separate times and repeatedly asked for someone to come fix it. No one came. We ultimately had to sleep the entire night with the door still broken. Someone finally showed up the following morning to fix it—but once again, there was absolutely no sense of urgency. The Wi-Fi was also terrible, and the entire property had a noticeable problem with flies and other bugs. The resort needs serious pest control because this was not something that should be overlooked at a property charging resort-level prices. The beach was by far the nicest part of the property. The resort itself has potential and could be a beautiful destination, but potential means very little when the basics—cleanliness, maintenance, responsiveness, and customer service—are not being handled properly. Management needs to take a serious look at staff training, housekeeping standards, maintenance response times, pest control, and overall guest service. Guests should not have to repeatedly complain, make a fuss, or threaten a negative review just to have basic issues addressed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Mövenpick Saly in its current state. We expected a relaxing resort experience and instead spent our stay dealing with problems that should have been resolved quickly and professionally.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel needs some renovations, but the service of the ladies of Guest Relations make up for it. Special thanks go to Gamou , she is very, very good in her job!

I generally do not leave reviews, however, I needed to highlight the exceptional service we received at the Mövenpick Resort Lamantin Saly. My family and I got there on Friday afternoon to have dinner, the staff was very professional and warmth , the food was excellent but the absolute highlight of our trip was Ibrahim that works at the bar near the beach area. He truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable even though we didn’t have a room. My kids enjoyed having conversations with him, he really catered to all our needs. He is the reason why we ended up coming to dinner both Saturday and Sunday there. His exceptional service, warmth, and professionalism stood out every single day. Thank you to the Chef for Sunday’s dinner accommodation.Thank you, Ibrahim, for making our vacation so unforgettable!"

It's a nice environment, but the staff is not performing at there best. There was a room service tray from someone else placed in front of my room. I asked before going to breakfast to have it removed. After 2 hours it was still there. I placed it in the middle of the grass, and even then staff passed and did not take it away. I told it again at reception, and then finally it was solved. The wifi in the rooms further away from reception is non existent or poor. In the shower the shower gel was empty, and not replaced before arrival.i don't smoke but the ashtray was full before arrival.It's not the level of a Movempick Resort. Also at night, very difficult to find your room, because the room numbers are not illuminated, you have to use your cellphone with light to find it.
