Raffles Seychelles

Travelled all over the world but this hotel and location has ruined our future travel. Hotel is a 10/10. The villas are so luxurious and my favourite part (well that and the buggy’s with their drivers used throughout. Drivers don’t get the credit they deserve- first class and made our journeys so much fun. Always prompt). Our room was well cared for with Gaele (room 154). She went above and beyond what we were used to. Absolutely stunning. Room service was instant, nothing too much and a call away. Pool is getting updated while there but everything looks good. Service, food, drinks and everything is perfect. Only criticism is the main restaurant- service wasn’t up to the high standard of everything else. We miss it already and want to rebook. I don’t think I can do the hotel justice in a review - needs to be on your bucket list for destination and hotel.

We had the most amazing stay at Raffles Seychelles, and so much of that was thanks to Yassin, who looked after us from the moment we arrived. The service was second to none, and Yassin went above and beyond to make our stay as special as possible. During our stay, we got engaged, making an already incredible holiday even more special. Yassin and his wife went out of their way to help us celebrate and create memories we will treasure forever. We honestly cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us. Even after we had returned home, we received a lovely message from Yassin wishing us well, along with the news that they had planted a little love-heart plaque at the hotel to mark our engagement. It is these thoughtful, personal touches that really set Raffles apart from the rest and make the experience so much more than just a luxury hotel stay. Our villa was absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t fault a single thing. The attention to detail was exceptional, with lovely little touches during the evening turndown service that made us feel looked after. The hotel even arranged a private chef for us on the night of our engagement, which made the occasion feel even more intimate and memorable. The food throughout our stay was also fantastic. We genuinely didn’t have a bad meal during our entire visit. Raffles Seychelles is everything you could hope for in a luxury resort, but it is the people who make. A huge thank you to Yassin and his wife and the rest of the hotel staff. We will always look back on our stay with the fondest memories, and we cannot wait to return! ❤️

We have just returned from two unforgettable weeks at Raffles Seychelles, and I honestly don’t even know where to begin! We travelled as a family of four- two adults and two children- and it turned out to be the most incredible holiday we have ever experienced. I celebrated my 40th birthday at the resort, and this holiday was my best birthday present ever. Knowing that the ferry ride isn’t exactly ideal for those with sensitive stomach, we decided to arrive from Mahé by helicopter. And what an amazing decision that was! Not only did we save a lot of time- within approximately 17 minutes, we were already enjoying welcome drinks at reception, but our holiday began with an absolutely breathtaking experience, flying over the stunning Seychelles islands, lush forests and spectacular beaches. We were welcomed by Rickey, our absolute favourite buggy driver, who immediately took our children to see and feed the giant tortoises. Honestly, we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect welcome for our kids. Rickey you are the best! Our villa was beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean and absolutely perfect for a family of four. The ocean views were stunning, and watching the sunrise from our villa was simply magical. The resort itself is breathtaking. It’s enormous, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and magnificent granite rocks, making you feel as though you’re staying right in the middle of the jungle. I highly recommend taking the path down to the beach from Losean restaurant- it’s absolutely beautiful! The main beach was perfect for us in every way- its size, beauty and the ocean itself. Our children loved jumping in the waves on some days, while on others the sea was completely calm, with water so beautiful that I would honestly say it was even more stunning than in the Maldives! Every single corner of this resort is picture perfect. Everywhere you look, there’s something that makes your heart skip a beat. Personally, one of my favourite places, and perhaps the most beautiful beach of all, was the smaller beach next to the main one. It was wonderful for snorkelling, and the water was always calm, with palm trees leaning out over the ocean. The only thing to keep in mind is that the tide goes out quite significantly, so you need to choose the right days when there’s still enough water during the daytime. On low-tide days, we loved going there to watch the sunset. We enjoyed every single restaurant at the resort. The food was beyond excellent, and the sushi was fantastic in all the restaurants! Our absolute favourite waiter was Mohamed- such a wonderful person! Our daughter adored him so much that every morning she would run towards him at breakfast just to give him a hug! Amir, the assistant restaurant manager, was equally amazing. Every single time we saw him, he would stop by to say hello, check whether we needed anything and share a little joke with us. For us, the most beautiful restaurant was the one by the pool. I’m also very happy to hear that Losean will be renovated during the second phase of the resort’s renovation. That location has such spectacular views, and I’m sure it will be absolutely incredible once completed. Our butler, Irina, was fantastic! She was incredibly attentive and always replied to our messages within a minute. She handled our reservations and helped us with absolutely everything. One night, she even assisted us when our daughter needed medical attention after being bitten or stung by something and developing a mild allergic reaction. By the way, the resort has a nurse available 24/7, which is very reassuring when travelling with children. And despite having two young children, we somehow managed to be the last guests to leave the bar almost every evening. Our honeymoon days are long behind us, but we still know how to enjoy a good evening :) Every single member of the bar team was incredibly friendly, welcoming and always happy to have a conversation, even late at night. Special greetings to Rami and Nandini. Two weeks simply weren’t enough for us. This holiday was so much more than just a beautiful destination and relaxing by the ocean. What truly makes Raffles Seychelles extraordinary is its people. The staff are genuinely some of the most wonderful people we have ever encountered in all our travels. Whoever is responsible for recruiting the team deserves a huge round of applause. Well done, Raffles! Before arriving, my only real concern was how we would manage getting around such a large, hilly resort with two small children, especially as our villa was located higher up the hillside. But that concern disappeared almost immediately. Every time we called for a buggy, it arrived so quickly that we barely had time to put our shoes on. Sometimes it felt as though the buggy was waiting for us rather than the other way around. Not once during our entire two-week stay did we have to wait longer than two minutes for a buggy anywhere in the resort. Absolutely incredible service! Our children absolutely loved the Kids Club! The ladies working there were incredibly kind, caring and accommodating, always coming up with fun activities to keep the children entertained. And by the way, Raffles, you have the best ice cream we've ever tasted! Raffles, we will never forget you! I truly hope that one day, hopefully very soon, we will have the chance to return. Perched on a hillside, the rooms are some lovely private villas with exceptional views. It’s really quite an impressive property, you feel like you’re in the middle of the forest; the perfect place to properly escape. Food wise could do with a bit more selection, the sushi was great though. I look forward to returning one day.

Our stay at Raffles Seychelles was a truly wonderful and relaxing experience. 🌴✨ From the very beginning, everything was exceptionally well organized. We arrived early in the morning and were delighted that our Villa 270 was already ready for us, allowing us to settle in and start enjoying our holiday straight away. It was a perfect start to our stay. What made our experience particularly special was the warmth and attentiveness of the entire team. Everyone was incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Ankit and Mario from the service team were also very kind and attentive throughout our stay. A very special thank you goes to Yassin, who truly stood out. He was extremely helpful, attentive and accommodating, while always being genuinely warm and personable. Whatever we needed, Yassin was there to assist us and made everything feel effortless. He was particularly helpful during our check-out and made sure that everything went smoothly and comfortably. We were also very grateful that a late check-out was arranged for us, completely free of charge. This was a wonderful gesture and greatly appreciated. The buggy service was also excellent. We never had to wait long, and the service was consistently efficient and friendly. Alen and Cindy in particular left a very positive impression on us with their cheerful and helpful manner. Our Villa 270 was beautiful and contributed greatly to the wonderful experience. The entire resort is stunning, with a fantastic combination of privacy, tranquility, nature and understated luxury. We were able to completely switch off, relax and truly enjoy our time in the Seychelles. There are only a couple of minor points worth mentioning. We found the restaurant prices quite high and, in some cases, somewhat excessive, especially considering that an additional 15% tax and 10% service charge are added. We also would have appreciated having Japanese tea available in The Sushi Room. These minor points aside, our overall impression is overwhelmingly positive. Raffles Seychelles is a beautiful resort with a wonderful atmosphere and, above all, a genuinely warm and attentive team. A heartfelt thank you to Yassin and to the entire Raffles team for making our stay so memorable. We felt extremely comfortable and returned home wonderfully relaxed. Best wishes Lidia and Josef L.
