Aparthotel Marinas de Nerja

Stay away from this hotel. It’s so run down from broken floor tiles to mould in he bathrooms. You’ve to queue for breakfast as there’s not enough staff to clean the tables. Queue for drinks again two severing at the bar. The cleaners who are unfriendly do as least as they can, why would the staff care if the management don’t care. Evening entertainment….. what can I say…. Terrible. The food, it reminds me of school dinners. They don’t even have real jam, it’s like what you’d put on your ice cream out a squeezie bottle. This hotel has 100% been miss advertised & pulled the wool right over my eyes. The only good thing about it was the beach & sea on its door step.

Just came back from this hotel and I have to say it was the best family hotel i have been too,exceptional staff from front of house to cleaners,and the food was so good with such a variety, around the pool and swimming pool so good,well done to all.

Lovely hotel. Reception check-in was very good our rooms were ready at noon. Ground floor room. Lovely and clean. Good wardrobe space. Comfy beds. Cleaned daily. Hotel food was very good. Breakfast was superb. The evening meals had themed nights always something for everyone. Staff were lovely and very quick at removing empty plates. Location of the hotel was brilliant. Could walk into nerja in around 20 mins for €7 in a taxi. We went for a wedding which was beautiful in every way. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a wedding. Sunbathing was fine always sunbeds round the pool even though a lot of them were reserved early with towels although I don’t think there were many free on the grass near the beach but we didnt actually sunbathe there. Pool was excellent 2 decent sized pools and one Children’s pool. Now the negative. Only one. There was only one bar open day and night which was the pool bar. Queue could be quite long at times but did get served quite quickly. Don’t know if the hotel was short of staff but the inside bar was never open. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Booked this hotel before Christa’s because of beach location and rooms look lovely in photos thought would be 4 star but definitely not more like 3 star rooms are very dated and sunbeds need up graded had to put towel down before breakfast to get sun lounger by pool nerja is lovely town with square very pretty but not a lot to there will def not be returning here same music most nights ABBA and seeet Caroline entertain team were good

Rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable. Lovely pool area. Perhaps we visited during a particularly busy week but what spoilt if for us were the lack of sunbeds and parasols. There are signs saying that sunbeds should not be reserved but nobody enforces this. People put their beach towels down before breakfast meaning that there are no sunbeds left for those of us who abide by the rules. Long queues to get into breakfast and lots of chipped crockery. The animation team work hard to entertain the guests and are generally well received. Loud music is played until 11.30pm each night which could be challenging for families with young children trying to sleep.
