Benalma Hotel Costa del Sol

Overall the hotel was amazing great location with sea view rooms on the beach , rooms and lounge, and bar and dining room and reception areas all spotless and comfortable - all the staff in reception, housekeeping and dining areas friendly and very attentive- special mention to Roberto and Leo the barmen for their amazing service - sadly though the food let you down - breakfast was okay but lunch and dinner was not great at all the hot food ie soup and pasta rice were always cold as was the pork and the meats very tough and dried out - we did speak to management on reception and the food and beverage manager after a few days - as it was meant to be show cooking but only then did the chefs and staff start to show their presence because of the complaint is was okay for a day then back to old ways of cold and tough food it seems to be lying out too long instead of making smaller amounts and replacing more often - I would of thought the chef would be checking to see what was being sent back on plates and to find out the issue but not the case as far as we could see it is a pity about this as otherwise would have been 10/10 and excellent overall but because of food would only rate a 6/10 at most for food - hopefully this can be rectified as I think a few people we spoke to felt the same about the food - but maybe they did not bother to say anything - would like to return again but only if the food improves a great deal.

Lovely hotel,great room(515),super comfy beds.Breakfastvwas really good too.we didn't have any main meals,so can't comment.staff are very friendly too.what let's the hotel down is it's location,and it's bar prices.the hotel is just too far away from benalmadena centre,have to get a bus or a taxi.bsr prices.while 4 euro for a bottled beer is fine,10 euro for a vodka is absolutely ridiculous.you can buy a litre of vodka from the nearby supermarket for 13 euro.and 2.50 euro for the smallest bottle of water,33cl.an absolute rip off.also have to comment on the lifts,sometimes they work,sometimes they don't.wouldnt return,unfortunately.

The room had an excellent view to the beach. The room only has a helicopter ceiling fan which was even in April insufficient to keep cool at night. Space for clothes is very limited and the area for hanging clothes will be too high for small people. The beds were very comfortable. Cleanliness of the room and the hotel in general was excellent. Food was of a high quality but lacked more variety. The snack offering for all inclusive clients was laughable: it only appeared at 5 pm and was a small side table in the lobby bar. It was demolished within half an hour. Drinks weren’t available on the rooftop bar for all inclusive customers and there were other restrictions, too for these customers. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and some went above and beyond. The beach is right outside the hotel. There is a tiny adult pool and a larger family pool area that you have to walk to going past the beach. Dribks and snacks can be bought there. It feels a bit on the small side and was busy in April and must be crowded in the Summer months. Slides for kids are great entertainment and the pool itself was good and has a little separate jacuzzi as well. The rooftop in the hotel has three jacuzzis for up to 6 adults but is often hogged for hours by the same entitled guests and hotel staff would not interfere which made this an unpleasant experience. The sunbeds and sun chairs up there are a great addition and the view from up there is spectacular. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

Excellent hotel. Don't pay extra for sea view. Not any alternative. Food excellent.

Fantastic get away from the world so relaxing and best views ever. Great food and staff were amazing . Highly recommend a stay here if u need to escape and just chill. Definitely be back loved it spotlessly clean too
