Best Benalmadena

Never again! Staff are so rude never experienced anything like it, completely ruined our stay (we stayed 5 nights). We go to benalmadena 3 times a year and will not be coming to this hotel again or recommending to anyone. We had waiters clicking fingers to pass plates on one night, we were aggressively challenged when ordering drinks in the restaurant -made us feel like we were steeling (we had purchsed a 5 euro day drink package - had to physically show this ticket every time we ordered a drink) on another night, A young waitress came back to on the 3rd night and apologised for being rude because we wanted the table she was cleaning (restaurant was full,there was no other table we could see free and we were with elderly guests +70 years old with a walking stick) honestly the worst service we have ever experienced! Lots of French and German guests equally as rude as the staff. Rooms clean, build quality poor, food average but always cold.

Me and my husband arrived on 26th October 2025 on Sunday. By Tuesday evening my husband was vomiting and severe diarrhoea many times. I reported it to reception and was told no illness was going around the hotel. I was instructed to go to pharmacy for medication. He stayed in the hotel room for 2 days and unable to eat until Thursday. Then on Thursday I fell ill with the same symptoms ,even though no bug around the hotel. The food was always lukewarm at best and been reports since September of this illness,which has not been addressed. Jet2 seemed to be unaware of the situation. They was told by hotel management no problem in hotel. NEVER GO THERE. It has ruined our holiday.

We stopped here for the first time last year and we loved it, the atmosphere is nice friendly and quiet hotel. We like the location, about fifteen minutes walk to the marina. Bus stop just outside or across the road for either direction. All the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and cleaned everyday., bed was comfy, plus we had a sea view. Pool area was clean and tidy, plenty of sun beds, the jacuzzi was great. The entertainment programme seemed good, we didn't use this as we went out. Excellent value for money .

Just returned from our stay. Yes I agree with the other comments on this site. Some of our party were ill during our stay . I witnessed meat being added to the grill with people asking for a veg option. The hotel and rooms are very tired and it needs a refurbishment like the other Best hotels in the resort to keep its 4 star rating. On the positive, the hotel is in a great position overlooking the sea. Bus stop outside to get yo the other resorts . The staff all work really hard and are trying there best to overcome the situation. I left some euros on the bedroom floor unknowingly and the cleaner left me a lovely note telling me she found it . Would I return to this hotel , probably not until the issues are sorted
