Best Benalmadena

25 may - 1 June 2026. Rooms are cleaned every day with clean towels and bedding. We arrived at 1pm and our rooms weren't ready... frustrating as been travelling since 3am and just wanted a shower. 4* hotel. We stayed half board. Breakfast was ok. Evening meal was average, not 4* in my view... salad was basic and cooked food satisfactory. Theres a section where they cook fish openly but this was very dry and not appetising. Snack bar was basic. We stayed 7 nights and the last 4 days 4 out of 5 of us ended up poorly... vomiting and diarrhoea. My husband was poorly the day after we got home. Theres definitely a bug of some sort in the hotel; it needs deep cleaning from top to bottom. Worst holiday I've been on. My daughters only 12 years old and she was violently sick through the last night. Never been so happy to get home. My advice is do not book this hotel. Benalnedina is lovely as a resort.

Great Hotel The rooms are a little old and need updating but are very clean and a comfortable space to be in with huge comfortable beds. Beautiful sea view from our room with nice spacious balcony. The room has a small fridge with complimentary drinks being Coke water and orange (nice touch) Restaurant was nice with fresh made omelettes and loads of healthy options for breakfast and a wok station for fresh stir fry and loads of other healthy options all nice and fresh. Staff are very friendly and helpful at both reception and the bar. The entertainment is definitely for the Spanish guests as the songs and games they do are all focused on them but was good and we join is as well. The location is a little out the way but I prefer that as the night time is very quiet. Come out hotel and turn left you have a supermarket a 2-5 min walk with a couple of restaurants a few yards past that and a spirits bar if you like your whiskey and gin. But it is expensive but relaxing in the evening just sitting there was worth it. Turn right and you head towards the marina 45min walk and carihuela/ Torremolinos over an hour but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel at around €2-3 trip and a taxi back is €12-15 Couple of downsides are the lifts are very slow and get crowded with the older locals always pushing to the front even though there are 6 lifts. So we just used the stairs. A kettle for the room needs to be rented at reception for €3 a day. All in all it was a great relaxing break and we would definitely go back.

The hotel its self is lovely the views from the room,pool and rooms are very clean, staff are friendly and accommodating. However I would say to avoid to food as many people we met while being out here had got very ill including my dad and the food options was not the best. if this was improved we would have no complaints on our stay.

Do not come to this hotel. We are here as a family of 5 including my granddaughter and 4 of us has had/got a stomach bug. Reading other reviews it would appear several other people gave gad the same problem. Something needs to he done about this hotel who appear to refuse to take any responsibility for this. We certainly would never return here
