Best Siroco

Location is great for the beach, town, bars and restaurants. Hotel is clean, we had a basic room with 2 double beds, tv, shower and bath. Complimentary toiletries and mini fridge with water. Only downside to our room was there was no kettle,tea and coffee. Food is buffet style with chefs cooking fresh meat or omelette. So much variety that there is something for everyone. The restaurant staff work so hard as well as the bar staff. Reception staff could do with being a little more friendly though. Car parking is available on site for 12 euros a day. Part of the pool area is being renovated but there is a pool open and use of the Bali beds were free during our time there due to the renovations. Would recommend the hotel, good value for money and location. If you want posh boutique this isn't for you.

Lovely hotel with nice spacious rooms and a very well prepared and tasty buffet. Friendly and service-oriented staff. Close to the beach and well-functioning public transport.

Location near seafront and promenade, but down hill and with steps (and uphill on way back)! ?suitable for those with reduced mobility. Was on half board package which was good value. Food of good standard, with variety each night. Breakfast had lots of choice with a chef to cook fresh omelettes. The pool area was being renovated so had no access. Rooms were adequate with 2 double beds. Our balcony had west facing aspect but looked onto back of neighbouring rather run down block. But got evening sun, nice for a sundowner. Bathroom lacked ventilation/ extractor fan. Rooms were serviced every day and beds changed midweek. Check out was 12md, later than many hotels and luggage storage area is available.

I’ll start with the good points, as it wasn’t all bad: Close to the beach and a view of the sea. Premium rooms have shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, along with soaps, a comb, disposable slippers, a shower cap and tissues. The room had a fridge, kettle, selection of teas and coffees and milk portions. The fridge was replenished daily with Pepsi, sparkling lemon drink and two bottles of water. We requested a room upgrade as we were looking out on a building site and it was done at no extra charge. The not so good: Massive amounts of building work. One pool was open but you had to walk through the builders to get to it, plus all you could hear was power tools. It was right next to the areas that were blocked off with red tape. None of this was mentioned when we booked or checked in. Concrete lorries delivering and a concrete pump running all day right below our balcony. The hotel is right next to a busy road so you’ll hear traffic all the time. The sunbed area is right above this road so not relaxing at all. The sunbeds are nothing like the photos posted by the hotel, which were clearly taken a very long time ago. The rooms were dirty, and the beds were only made and towels changed twice during our stay. The air con didn’t work due to the magnetic switch on the door being missing. The light on the bathroom mirror didn’t work. There was a hole in the wall that had been patched with filler and left like it. The headboard on the bed was filthy. The upgraded room had a better view of the sea, but looked down on noisy concrete lorries delivering to the hotel. Also looked over a flat roof with rubbish on top. The bed was supposed to have an LED strip light on the headboard but the wires were left sticking out with insulating tape on them. Although body lotion and shower gel were supplied, the bottles were nearly empty and ran out after the first few days. The room needed a thorough clean. Dirty walls, light switches, around the bottom of the toilet, coffee drips on the desk and dirty bed sheets.

We booked a premium room in this 4 star rated hotel. The room was lovely, but the hotel was still under renovation and currently does not feel like a 4 star hotel. Unfortunately the majority of the staff appeared rude in their manner, and we had to request missing elements of the premium upgrade on several occasions. At the time of booking there was no indication of the ongoing works or indeed the facilities which were unavailable due to these works. In the circumstances, I would have expected the staff to have made extra effort to ensure that their customers were kept satisfied, however many seemed do the exact opposite - continuing to have conversations amongst themselves , whilst checking in guests each evening for dinner - no smiles, no welcome , just a tick on your food token and a click on their headcount device. Similarly at the end of the evening, just a grumpy request for payment for the drinks bill, and a tap on a receipt with a pen, to request a signature. Dreadful !! We have stayed at other Best hotels previously, but never encountered rudeness to this extent.
