Ikos Andalusia

We stayed for 6 days and this was our 5 th visit back to Ikos Andalusia. Unfortunately we felt disappointed with our holiday. Mainly the new dinner booking reservation. Which is based on availability on the night ,so you have no idea where you can eat ( bookings no longer accepted). On the night at 6.30 pm the link will show what restaurants are available and which ones are busy. So typically the most favourite and popular places - Anaya , Provence and Fresco are full. Leaving others ok. This is my opinion is completely a terrible decision and an awful service We are paying 5 star prices to stay at Ikos and therefore we should have the choice to eat at whatever restaurant we choose - not whatever one is not busy on the night. Also noticed standards seem to be dropping. The pools are lovely but sitting on heavily stained sun loungers with threadbare towels with holes in !, We spent a few hours around the Adult Pool in a cabana and again was so surprised at the state of the cabanas , dirty and torn . Ikos need to up their game or lower their prices. Also to re think the new restaurant traffic light system.

excellent resort in the Ikos/Sani style and tradition restaurants all great service excellent food This is our second to an Ikos and they are nothing short of fabulous We have visitede Sani and Ikos Dassia previously but this is more compact and easy to navigate

We have just returned from our fourth visit to Ikos Andalusia, and once again, we had such a wonderful holiday! There is a reason we keep coming back, and a huge part of that is the incredible people who go above and beyond to make our stays so special. We would particularly like to give a very special mention to Malama, who was absolutely amazing throughout our stay. She genuinely went out of her way to make sure we were happy, comfortable and well looked after. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and whenever we had a question or an issue, we knew we could go straight to her and she would do everything she could to sort it out. Her kindness, attentiveness and genuine care made such a difference to our holiday. She really is a credit to Ikos, and we cannot thank her enough! A huge thank you also to Lenka and Argyro from the Food & Beverage team, who were both fantastic. They were so accommodating of our family’s dietary requirements and really helped make our dining experiences enjoyable and stress-free. Their care and attention were hugely appreciated. We also have to mention Manuel and Lewis from Guest Services, who were absolutely brilliant! We always have such a laugh with them, especially Manuel, who brings so much fun and personality to every interaction. It’s lovely to return to a resort where the staff make you feel so welcome and where you can genuinely enjoy a laugh together. Another lovely mention goes to Astris at Fresco, who greeted us with the warmest smile every single morning at breakfast. He was always so welcoming and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s those little touches, and seeing such a friendly face each morning, that really make a difference. What makes Ikos Andalusia so special isn’t just the beautiful surroundings, fantastic restaurants or wonderful facilities, but the people who work there. It’s those personal touches and the genuine warmth of the staff that make us want to return year after year. Thank you to everyone who made our fourth visit another memorable family holiday. We are already looking forward to coming back! A truly special resort with some truly exceptional people!

Ikos Andalusia is testing a new restaurant booking system for the last 3 weeks of the season. Basically everyone not in de luxe has to check app ( traffic light system red amber green) to see where there are spaces. This hotel is full all the time and we found there was no spaces in any of the restaurants apart from the buffet and Seasons which is de luxe only. We could have got a table after 9pm but that’s too late for us. There was supposed ti be a waiting list in place but none knew how that worked! De luxe guests can still book restaurants for their stay but non de luxe cannot. We found the system stressful as we like to know where and when we will eat. We need to know and plan our evenings around where and when we eat etc. We did talk to guest relations and they sorted bookings for us but we are worried this might be the way forward. We don’t care for buffet food and aware many are happy with this option. We talked to other guests that were unable to get any evening bookings in restaurants during their stay. We are hoping they don’t adopt this new system hence my review as to how it impacts guests. Apart from that we love Ikos , service fab, room fab, sleep quality fab, adult areas fab, pools fab, breakfast and lunches in restaurants fab, entertainment fab, cocktail bar fab. Fingers crossed the new system & trail is cancelled …

I think most of the reviewers have summed it up perfectly. For us this was an exceptional visit and can’t wait to return to other locations. 2 small things to look out for. Booking restaurants for the times you want is a struggle. Some we couldn’t even get to in our two week stay which was disappointing. So many small families which we expected but meal times could be a s*it show at times. I could and have forgiven both these small things as everything else just exceeded my expectations which is very rare for me
