We stayed at the Bali during the October half term and absolutely loved it! The room was clean and perfectly adequate for what we wanted, the corridors to the rooms could do with an update but who spends time in the corridor! Couldn’t fault the restaurant, plenty of choice and variety for adults and the kids. We were half board and were told at check in we could choose lunch or dinner in the restaurant, although we never tried thw lunch. Pools and kids play area were great, and the snack bar handy too. The hotel is on a hill, it didn’t cause us any issues, cross over the main road and you are on the promenade to either the marina or Benalmadena centre. Hotel is in a great location. We were slightly apprehensive about the hotel based on the reviews, and it only being a 3 star but we needn’t have worried at all. We would 100% return.

The hotel is in an ok position which is about 15 or 20 mins walk to where the marina starts. Hill is hard work but it's short luckily, no good for people with a disability. The hotel does need updating in some areas, but it was overall clean. Toilets of the lobby could have been better, let's just say someone whiped something on the wall and it was still there 3 days later. Food is OK but it was a bit disappointing, quality is not very good in some of the meat dishes, choice is ok but could be better, often dishes like pasta and sauces were virtually stone cold. Sausages not cooked enough and only just warm, like the beans. Now onto my biggest bug of this trip. KIDS, running all over the restaurant with food slopping off plates onto the floor creating slip hazards and no one seemed notice. Kids, being allowed to help themselves to items they were too short to reach, our lunch was like a football match, I watched multiple kids hacking away at the ice cream using their finger to scrape the ice scream from the scoop. No self cleaning scoop cleaner to use. We were constantly trying to avoid small kids with plates they really were unable to carry properly. I feel sorry for the staff as they seemed run ragged clearing plates away. My advice would be to choose an adult only hotel if your looking to relax as this is not the place for that. The kids entertainment went on too long and too late for our liking, I find it odd to have the adults entertainment start at 10pm. Kids should have fun too but having them screaming at the top of there voices drove us out of the hotel bar. The staff all seemed pleasant but I would not return to this hotel due to the restaurant practices, lukewarm food and very small rooms.

Overall, we had a very positive experience at the hotel. The receptionists, restaurant staff, and cleaners were consistently friendly and accommodating, and the food offered a great variety. The room was exceptionally clean, and the entertainment staff and photographer truly made our experience unforgettable. However, our only major point of dissatisfaction was the inconsistent and unclear enforcement of rules by the lifeguards regarding pool inflatables and balls. Upon arrival, we noticed other children using various water inflatables. Following this example, we purchased two medium-sized, single-use inflatables from a local shop. Initially, one child was told they could not use theirs while the other was allowed, causing unnecessary disappointment until they managed to share the allowed one. Over the next four days, they continued using the inflatable and a ball without issue, and enthusiastically participated in animation activities that involved balls. However, on Sunday, a lifeguard abruptly prohibited the use of both the inflatable and the ball. When I politely challenged this inconsistency—asking why they were permitted for the previous four days and where the official rules were posted—the lifeguard on duty struggled with English and flatly refused to discuss the matter further or point out written guidelines. Our Recommendation: To prevent unnecessary disappointment for children and wasted expenses for parents, management must ensure that clear, written pool rules are prominently displayed in the pool area. Furthermore, staff training is urgently needed to ensure that policies regarding inflatables and balls are applied consistently by all lifeguards every day, with clear communication. Aside from this communication breakdown, we appreciated the hard work of the rest of the team and hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience moving forward.
