MS Amaragua

The location was perfect for us as we like Carahuela and it is walkable to both Benal Madena and Torremolinos. The hotel and rooms were very clean , no issues here. The price was in line with other 4 star hotels in the area. Sun beds were reservations from 9am and not before (maybe 5 minutes or so). The ones around the pool are the most popular but we preferred to be on the 'grassed' area (its artificial and is unbearably hot without footwear in the sun). They are well spaced and have excellent 'brollies'. Our issues were with the stupid systems resulting in crazy queues for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was good but the evening meal was nearly all fish , which we don't like so despite booking hb we ate out most evenings. The bar is the worst for service. More than 30 minutes at times to get a drink and similar to get the bill. We walked out twice and avoided the hotel bar. Wholly unacceptable for a 4 star. We will not be returning and have advised other members of our family to do the same.

Myself and my friend got back from here early hours this morning and to say we had an amazing time would be an understatement. We found ALL staff extremely pleasant, polite and engaging (even via the language barrier) Room is the only letdown. VERY dated (reason for only 4 starts) if the room was more updated i would have given 5stars!!!! At the front of the hotel you get the front view, at night its nice the way it lights up. But yeah we were not pleased with the room Shame really as thats the only letdown. Hotel on the other hand SPOTLESS So many cleaners cleaning all day long (not necessary) money could be better spent updating rooms but hey ho. Mostly dutch guests here, and they bearly cracked a smile. We stayed breakfast and dinner Both very good. Breakfast has a fantastic selection, cooked breakie, breads, toasts and confectionery to your hearts content We didnt like the orderly you will sit here, id like to have sat where we wanted. A bit regimental for us. Same at dinner. Good for people who like that kind of thing. Very civilised, too civilised. Food at dinner still very good, hot food, and probably the bits from breakfast added back on. Again, ALL staff were very polite. Location absolutely brilliant!!!!!!!! On the strip, we love seafood and so it was perfect for daily seafood lunches. Ok priced, nothings cheap anymore. Right on a strip of shops also, very good. Most resteraunts have an amazing sea view. Bloody gorgeous 😍 👌 the usual lucky men on the beach with ladies offering massages. Beds on the beach, comfy 8€ each for the day. Again the seafood accross the strip was beautiful 😍 would go again just for that. Pool area always clean and tidy, couldnt go out for a bed until 9am, whoch suited us. Pool opened at 10am. As i say it was all too regimented for us, we didnt like this element. Loads of birds LOADS. Very noisy Beach towels provided ypon a deposit of 30€ per towel .. extortionate if you ask me. Loose them and you've paid 60€ for 2 towels. No baths either... we'd rather of had a bath 🛁 🙄 We also noted its a very middle aged hotel, lots of 50-60 year olds. Not great if you are younger. Not much to do in the evening however we always went for a walk as there was loads to see. Would have preferred b.fast and lunch and gone out for tea every night. Good points and not so great ones too, as with all hotels. Its just preference. Still loved it, however we would not return due to it being so regimented and the rooms so dated Staff 10/10 Location 15/10 Food 8/10 Rooms 3/10 # So all just depend on what you want out of a holiday. Too chill for us (only early 40's) Also went to this beautiful steak and lobster places called ICONIC, WOW A MUST!!! fantastic guys service, made my friends 43rd birthday one to remember ❤️🍽😘

The hotel was great. Super location right in the beach and a beautiful facility. Excellent breakfast buffet in the morning too! Only downside was poor WiFi throughout the building so hopefully they will work on that but otherwise we loved it. There is also a parking garage right next door with discounted rates for the hotel which was very convenient.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The hotel lobby is amazing. The rooms are spacious & very clean. Food is of a high standard & the restaurant is very well organised. All staff were very friendly & welcoming. The pool area is clean & there are plenty of sun loungers. I cannot think of anything negative to say. My wife & I had a lovely break. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
