Location not bad definitely the quieter end of torremolinos. Train station not far and bus stop right outside the hotel so easy to get about. Hotel was genuinely nice BUT food wasn’t the greatest and very very limited for kids or fussy eaters. Definitely one of the worse hotels we’ve been in for food. Bar stops serving at 11pm which we didn’t know when we booked which was a pain so we just got a bottle for the room from a shop 5mins away. We had a junior room which was lovely but we did get an influx of ants on several occasions. Entertainment was dreadful which again is probably the worst entertainment we have experienced and no atmosphere at the outside bar could of done with some background music Staff over all was nice But wouldn’t look to go back

Let me start with the positives, because there were some. Some members of staff genuinely tried their best to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping ladies were absolutely lovely. Some of the waiters and waitresses at breakfast and dinner were also very friendly and helpful, as were two of the bartenders, one female bartender, and the lady serving snacks. A special mention goes to the animation team. I cannot remember all their names, but I would particularly like to thank the lovely girl from Seville, the girl from Gibraltar, and the young man from Romania. They were fantastic, and my daughter really enjoyed her time with them. Thank you for making her holiday more enjoyable, because without you, she would have been bored. You were definitely one of the highlights of our stay! Unfortunately, the list of negatives is much longer. First of all, this hotel is supposedly a 4-star property, but honestly, it falls well below that standard. We have travelled to many different parts of Spain and other European countries, and this is the first time we have stayed in a hotel with rooms that felt so old and outdated. In my opinion, the accommodation does not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. The swimming pools were absolutely freezing. The sea was much warmer, which says it all! Another major issue was the sunbed situation. Guests were reserving sunbeds from as early as 7 a.m., only for them to remain unused until midday. This is ridiculous and should be managed properly by the hotel. The drinks at the bar were another huge disappointment. Most of the time, it felt like alcohol was simply poured into a glass and topped up with juice. These drinks should not even be called cocktails. The quality was extremely poor and nowhere near what you would expect from a 4-star all-inclusive hotel. Sadly, the food was equally disappointing and certainly did not meet 4-star standards. We travelled as a group of four adults and two children, and unfortunately, four of us suffered from what appeared to be food poisoning on the second and third days of our holiday. This seriously affected our stay and was extremely concerning. We also noticed that leftover food from breakfast seemed to be reused in salads on subsequent days. Much of the meat was bland, poorly seasoned and generally lacked flavour. Overall, the food quality was nowhere near what we expected. Another disappointing aspect was the attitude of some members of staff. At times, we felt there was a clear difference in how guests were treated, particularly if they were not Spanish or French. As international guests, we did not always feel equally welcomed, which left a very unpleasant impression. The evening entertainment was another area where the hotel seriously let itself down. It felt as though the easiest and cheapest option had been chosen, with the morning animation team simply being used again for the evening programme. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star, this was embarrassing. On one occasion, there was a female singer from outside the hotel. Unfortunately, it took a long time for the microphone to work properly, and it was uncomfortable to watch her become increasingly stressed over something that should have been organised and checked beforehand. She deserved better support from the hotel. The flamenco show was excellent and was one of the few highlights of the evening entertainment. However, the rest of the programme was very disappointing. I genuinely believe the hotel management should visit other 4-star hotels and see what the standard of accommodation, food, drinks, customer service and evening entertainment should look like. There is a lot of room for improvement, and the hotel needs to take guest feedback much more seriously. Another issue was the all-inclusive drinks service. The information displayed on the notice stated that the pool bar was open until 12:30 a.m., but after 11 p.m., all-inclusive drinks were no longer available. This was not clearly stated anywhere, nor was it mentioned during check-in. Guests should be informed about these restrictions in advance, rather than discovering them unexpectedly during their holiday. This was misleading and disappointing. Regarding the accommodation, we were allocated a room in the middle building. Fortunately, our room was clean, and we did not have any problems with ants or other unwanted visitors. However, we heard from other guests that they had experienced issues with ants in their rooms, which is another concern that the hotel management should look into. The beds were another major disappointment. They were metal-framed, almost like basic camp beds pushed together, and were extremely uncomfortable. Getting a good night’s sleep was difficult, which is simply unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4-star. Comfortable beds are one of the basic expectations of a hotel, and unfortunately, these were nowhere near an acceptable standard. Overall, some individual staff members were wonderful, and I am genuinely grateful to those who made an effort, especially the animation team who kept my daughter happy. Unfortunately, their hard work cannot compensate for the hotel’s many shortcomings.

Returned today after 7 nights and this is my honest review. Room dated but we only slept in it , they do need better pillows. Had room 3214 overlooking the pool , black out curtains great and when balcony doors shut we didn’t hear any noise. Had the all inclusive gold , lovely eating area, 3 different meals included bbq and Italian amazing not so keen on fusion but that’s just choice. Apart from that we ate every meal in the hotel I love fish do amazing for me but my partner didn’t but always found something to eat . I was dreading the food on the reviews I had read but please don’t you won’t go hungry. Drinks are good and staff are so friendly, if you are nice they are , no complaints from me except the entertainment in the evening was basic but they try their best at the end of the season not much more the can do . Would we go back and the answer is a big fat yes

Came here for a short break in the middle of October. Only chose here because I wanted to stay in the Old Pontinental Hotel and it was cheap. Listed as 4 star. Definitely not. Typical Spanish 3 star all inclusive. The place is in desperate need of need of a refurb. The restaurant is like a works canteen. Extremely busy and overcrowded. Food piled high and not particularly appealing. There are good points. The entertainment is well organised, the staff work incredibly hard and appear friendly. All inclusive drinks reasonable. Proper Coca Cola syrup is a good plus for me. The location is a bit isolated a fair walk to main area. The pools get crowded and noisy. If you want a quiet relaxing break you’ll be disappointed. If you have a ground floor junior suite expect thousands of guests or get some ant powder. Don’t want to sound too negative because we’ve had a nice time. The fantastic weather helped

Not going to go on but I'll leave some bullet points 1 Location was awful was atleast a 30 min walk to the nearest town so if your looking for something to do other than the beach be prepared 2 Upgraded to a junior suit it was full of ants the couch was broken The TV in the bedroom didnt work despite 2 attempts of fixing 3 food was bland everything tasted the same bearly ate for 4 days Now for the good The beach was absolutely beautiful The staff will go out of there way to help The snack bar was the best place for food Once you make the trip out of torremolinos you have such lovely things to do
