This was our second trip to Globales Playa Estepona and it did not disappoint. Lovely clean room, friendly staff, hotel grounds always kept tidy and good choice of food and drinks. Catered for gluten free also and had it advertised in restaurant to ask staff regarding allergies. Most food was labelled with allergens and you could ask staff for gluten free food which I did at breakfast and got bread, little cakes and biscuits. Dinner you could order gluten free pizza or pasta. The pizza was lovely. Plenty to keep kids occupied with lots of pool areas for different ages. Main pool had entertainment during day everyday including aqua fit classes and waterpolo. Was nice having option of free bus to Puerto Banus which you arranged on the morning you want to go at reception from 9am. The hotel does not have anything else really around it other than an Aldi in walking distance but was plenty on site to keep busy. Great for a family holiday.
Veronica and Christina we absolutely lovely at the reception bar. Made our stay, they were so beautiful and lovely. We will definitely come back
Really good resort right on beach excellent waterside and pools staff are excellent really good all inclusive offering can be bit too busy at times in restaraunts but always got table. Evening entertainment very good my kids 7 and 8 loved the holiday
Absolutely vile food. We have had sickness & extremely bad diarrhoea from eating in hotel restaurant. Hotel Staff very arrogant and not helpful. Tui staff also not helpful - Couldn’t care about complaints. We had poo under toilet seat in room when we first arrived ( Room not to good hygiene standard ) Cockroaches in restaurant 🪳 We visited this hotel in October 2025 and standard has dropped dramatically. Poor in all aspects. Staff look extremely miserable. Kids do not receive any smile at all from staff. Stern faces all round. Ant outbreak in rooms 🐜
Booked with TUI We stayed in Cabrera Room 147, which was basically a little bungalow with only 4 rooms. It was so quiet - mo banging doors, no corridor noise. Perfect if you want a bit of peace but still want to be close to everything. Exactly what we had requested ahead of arrival. The view wasn't much but the peace mattered more to us. I travelled with my 13 year old son who is neurodivergent and my 10 year old daughter. Staff The staff really made our holiday. Special shout-out to Ismael, Paula, and Macarena on the bar team. There were more amazing staff but I’m terrible with names! The lifeguards were brilliant -the most vigilant and safety-conscious I’ve seen at any hotel. Special shout-out to "Nacho" (not his real name, but it’s what my son decided he was called and he answered to it every time 😂). The entertainment team was also fantastic. Giovani (think I got his name right) was hilarious. There was a noticeable shift on the 20th when a new guy joined - he was incredible with everyone from toddlers to adults. So engaging, and he took the whole team to another level. The kids absolutely idolized him. Gutted we didn’t catch his name! There were 3 guest acts throughout the week, too, 3 guys singing motown and all sorts were incredible, a circus style act with spinning plates, acrobatics and impressive core strength stunts... and another duo with a singer and guitarist. Every night has bingo - this isn't free and you will need cash. There is an ATM at the hotel but there is a charge (it was about 2 euros to take out €20 as an example). Little market in hotel car park on a Tuesday, super cute. This is the cheapest for magnets as souvenirs don't waste money elsewhere. Little shop on site - two inflatable rings for the pool set me back €25. They will inflate one for €3 so take your own to cut down on the sounds. Arcade available in the evenings including 4 trampolines with bungee harnesses, and some bumper cars. Women's are €5 each for those. One of the arcade machines gives out good prizes - my kids and the friends we made won a drone, wireless ear buds, blue tooth speakers... Ladies offering hair braiding on the beach, and some chaps selling (what was absolutely NOT) silver bracelets, replica prada handbags, replica football kits. Don't accept their first price...ask how much for 2 and then haggle. Again, cash only. Also, Magdalena the photographer (I think that’s the spelling) - she was lovely. We flew and booked with TUI, and the reps were a huge part of why it was so easy. Rebecca and Charlotte were in the hotel for large parts of every day. Both Irish and lovely. I couldn’t keep up with Rebecca’s speed 🤣 and Charlotte was adorable - She took her time to make sure we booked the right trip for my family’s needs. Food & Drink Lots of variety in the main restaurant. One night they were doing freshly grilled steak which was a hit. There was also plenty of "beige food," which was a lifesaver for my son who is autistic. The beach restaurant and all-day snack bar were absolutely brilliant. They had fresh fruit available all day and served top-tier branded drinks throughout the stay. They also have a proper menu with fantastic cocktails on it (the ones included in the all-inclusive package don't have prices next to them, which makes it easy). We certainly drank plenty of Prosecco and Bellini cocktails! My son would have appreciated more pizza and a slight improvement would have been availability of a packed lunch to take on excursions. Self service soft drinks all day, paper cups available but the tokens will get you a solid plastic eco cup which they swap for a fresh one each time. Trips & Location The free shuttle bus to Puerto Banús was amazing. Seeing the supercars and yachts - it’s how the other half live. Wow. We also did the Gibraltar trip with TUI, which included a boat trip to see dolphins. Incredible. The tour of the Rock, St Michael’s Cave! Just wow!!! and the wild monkeys. A baby monkey had literally just been born and was still wet. I’ve never seen anything like that, not even in a zoo. Highly recommend that trip. Beach - sand initially then pebbley... this didn't bother us as we don't love sand in our toes. Puerto banus had a lovely sandy beach which was 10 minutes by free shuttle bus. Overall, a brilliant, relaxing hotel with genuinely brilliant staff. We’d 100% come back. We made some great friends too and we all agreed we will return together next year!
