AluaSun Cala Antena

Have stayed at couple hotels in Calas de Mallorca before (hsm Calas park, and Canarios park) This is a good one. Please ignore the bad reviews. We stayed here, as this hotel was closing on Sunday 18th, but that didn't stop us from having a great holiday. Weather was good, apart from the heavy rain and the fantastic thunder and lightning 🌩️⚡⚡ show while we were waiting to be collected to head the airport. The location is very good, as it's only a 10 mins walk to calas Domingo beach, 15 mins to all the shops and bars, and only a 1 min walk to our new favourite car, The Corner Cafe, which does a few snacks if your watching the football. Food was good, and a good choice between restaurant and snack bar, the bar staff were so friendly and courteous and would like to have a conversation with you. The rooms were cleaned daily, Reception staff very friendly and we had an issue with a light switch, and it was repaired as we were at dinner. Entertainment was good, varied from groups and circus acts, and bingo. We were moved to the sister hotel, and our receptionist walked us over and got us checked in, to me that's great customer service. The sister hotel, oh wow, This is a 4star plus. So many bars , snack bars and I would like to stay here (if I could afford it) We are so looking forward to be coming back to visit you soon.

We had rooms on the 7th floor with North facing balconies, and although we had a good side sea view we didn’t enjoy any sunshine. Our room was quite nice, with no maintenance issues and was in a quiet location, being situated on the opposite side to that of the outside evening entertainment area. There were three lifts so good access to upper floor rooms. Food was good and varied, offered on a buffet service, and the outside bar was well staffed, resulting in relatively short waiting times. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas around the pools but outside seating for the evening entertainment was insufficient to cater for all who wished to attend. The only negative was the lack of toilet facilities, with only two ladies and gents closets in both the pool and reception areas. Cales de Mallorca is a fairly quiet resort, so apart from a few costal walks and a small shopping centre there’s not much to see or do outside the Hotel. The Bus stop to other resorts is very close so convenient if you wish to explore another area along the coast.

This Hotel was better than we expected. For a three star it is pretty good. The rooms are very clean. Full air con in the room as well. Food was ok for a three star. With the food being topped up throughout the sitting. The pool was vey clean with a full time life guard. Sunbeds were plentiful as well. Staff were good. This hotel is vey good for a 3 star

I came here in the hope it would be the same as the hotel across the road which is the same chain which we went to in "COVID" but it's just not the same I want to be positive but not give a false impression when you've spent good money on your holiday. Check in was seemless think we waited a couple of minutes then got checked in filling out all the relevant paperwork out, handing over passports whilst they scan/copy them then got our wrist bands out on then went to our room on the 6th floor the picture is my review. The room itself was adequate, bathroom bigger enough for two people to get ready in, whilst one showers the other can use the other side of it in the mirror to do what is necessary, but no kettle in the room, you can hire one of 10E and you get it back once you return the kettle,but no fridge or water provided whoch surely is a must when you visit somewhere you can't drink the local tap water. On the balcony you're above all the generators for the building which is going day and night which can stop you sleeping even with the doors fully shut. The food is what you expect from a 3* nothing spectacular let me tell you that, you can just about get by for a week but we did eat out twice, The beer they serve was ok but only one variety, so you like it or lump it, they serve plenty of other alcohol ie wine and cocktails but not to our taste nothing against them, we just don't like them so stuck with beer or soft drinks. The entertainment could be better, singers using "echo" when they sing isn't good and masks quality and more often than not ends at 10pm, also the first place I've been to which didn't have kids evening entertainment, like all the kids songs which get them up and socializing with others. Also ending on this note, on your last day if you've a late flight back they will cut your bands off when you checkout, they offer you to keep them for 20E which is very cheeky/naughty you've paid enough already and shouldn't be expected to pay more just because you've a late departure, again first I've known and must make Alua thousands each year. All in all I wouldn't return on that basis, no need to rip you off on you're last day, just let customers end their holliday happy and not have to leave and eat elsewhere in the nearby resort.

We hadn’t booked a sea view room but asked and got one on arrival. Happy with the room, basic but had everything we needed including comfy beds, extra pillows and duvet. (Which we asked for ) The hotel it self was really good for a 3 star, food , entertainment and drinks. All staff really friendly and worked hard . Outside the hotel had shops and eating places a short walk away. Lovely area and great views. Got buses to 3 places to visit, no issues there and back. The hotel is quite a journey from the airport but with TUI had mini buses both ways. Overall a good holiday and had some great weather.
