Aparthotel Alcudia Garden & Palm

Hotel was absolutely perfect, we had an annex overlooking the little pool which we loved! Downside was we didn’t have air conditioning, but we were rarely in during the day. Also, please be aware there are no lifts/elevators and we had to lug our big cases up a flight of stairs. 😂 Staff are so sweet, housekeepers always said hello to us. We went self catering but tried the buffet twice and enjoyed it a lot. Lots of things to do during the day for kids, beach is right across the road and the port is 5 minutes away, full of shops, bars and restaurants! Many little supermarkets just steps away. Very clean, quiet atmosphere, even if there were a lot of people at the larger pool, there are so many sunbeds, so no wars. I liked the smaller pool near our room, relaxing. Will definitely come again, maybe all inclusive next time because we did enjoy the food.

We have just returned from 9 nights at the hotel. It was our first holiday with our 4 month old and we will definitely be returning. We stayed in one of the apartments in block 1 and they were clean, spacious and modern. We were just unfortunate to have a view of the road rather than the pool area. Location - fantastic!! Could not have been much better Entertainment - great! Kids club looked fantastic too. Pool area and grounds - spacious, clean, never an issue to get beds Drinks - served in good sizes (glass at night was a bonus). No problem if you like beer or spirits but cocktails, wine and sangria could be improved Food - probably the only area for improvement. We went all inclusive with one member of the group being coeliac. Most days, they had a good gluten free selection. Every day, there was something to eat but some of the dishes were questionable and never hot. This was the same for the snack bar where the food was always cold. We ate out quite a lot which we enjoyed but not ideal when we paid a lot for all inclusive.

Very disappointed. Ten days and the room wasn’t cleaned once. Not even the loo. They made the beds (same bed sheets for ten days) and replaced the towels (which were old, thin, frayed and ripped) but that was the extent of housekeeping. The cooking utensils had mould growing on them, the cooker knobs were caked in grease. Maybe if they supplied washing up sponge and liquid guests would be more inclined to clean the kitchenette. The shower gel was empty throughout our entire stay. The food is very low quality and no matter if you get there early at best the temperature of it was Luke warm. Sun loungers round the pool are elbow to elbow with a stranger. Only saving grace was it’s location - literally 5 minutes from the beach but don’t go to the first bit of sand as it stinks of rotten vegetation, go round away from the marina part for a better experience. Shops and restaurants right outside the door but almost every menu was identical and quite expensive. Great bus service to Alcudia.

Fantastic stay clean rooms and facilities and lovely foods

We had been to Mallorca before and thought we would try a different hotel. This one looked decent. Most things were OK. The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was a reasonable buffet. We opted for the bed and breakfast which, as expected, was more expensive than the self catering. There were issues with the room though. -The shelf mountings were failing. We mentioned to reception and they did fix it haphazardly with a screw. Another shelf failed later though. - The phone did not work. - Bedside reading light had broken loose from its mounting - Secondary catch on the balcony door did not work. The primary did though. - Balcony light had no apparent off switch while 2 of the light switches in the apartment did nothing - The one light in the main living/dining/cooking area was operated from a switch on the far wall, away from the entrance. - The general appearance in the accommodation was scuffed and worn.
