Aparthotel Can Picafort Palace

Nice looking hotel, everywhere is modern apart from the hallways which are really old and run down with dirty carpet. Pool areas are nice and clean, plenty sun beds. nice kids pool. Room was cleaned every day although other guests never had theirs cleaned in a week. Entertainment is average. Poor for kids - half the time the kids room is supposed to be open it isn’t. Worst part is the restaurant and bar. Both understaffed. Queue at the pool bar could be 10 people long with only one person serving. Only all inclusive we have ever been to that doesn’t do hot food for the pool snacks and only offers cold meats and pastries left over from breakfast. All inclusive yet you cannot help yourself to a drink with your dinner. You can’t even get yourself a water. all drinks have to be ordered with a waiter. if you are lucky enough to have your order taken, your drink will either not come or come 10 mins later. they do have water and juice machines but only turn them on at breakfast so you literally can’t get a drink at lunch or tea unless you’re asked. Food is really poor and worst part of the hotel. same food every night. no theme nights or changes to the menu other than the daily fresh cooked meat which alot of the time is not cooked properly. awful for kids with just the same pizza and pasta offering every night. Good location, 5 minute walk from the beach and lots of restaurants nearby as you cannot eat there every night and least you get a drink if you go out. Again nice hotel and nice pool area but wouldn’t go again as all inclusive not worth it, probably better for a half board hotel

Not sure why the place is called a palace as its definately not. Its the 1st time in 30 years ive ever wanted to write to the operator to complain. I normally book 4/5 star of Lux locations and based on 4 star we chose this as an anniversary getaway and was badly let down. There is a review further down which highlights the improvements needed and i agree with them all. Firstly the lifts were broke when we arrived and my 60 yr old husband was made to climb up to the 4th floor with 2 x 20kg cases with no support from hotel staff. We arrived at 3.30pm so lunch had closed. We were directed to a snack bar which was the worst offering I have ever seen. Basic thin sliced white bread left uncovered, a few slices of cheap processed ham and lettuce leaves. I actually felt like leaving at this point as i knew the standards experienced in the first 30 minutes of arrival were not a good start. During our 4 nights our room was never cleaned, towels and bedding not changed. The food was poor, choice was limited and very cold. We also noticed uncooked pink meat being served. We ate out a few times as it was just too dissapointing. The waitor service policy for drinks was terrible, most lunch and dinner times we had eaten before being served. Waiting for table service took up to 45 mins and if you braved it to go to the bar, you would get warm wine stored underneath, hot, half a platic cup almost thrown at you accross the bar. There was No access to water anywhere. Some of the bar staff appeared unapprochable. Pool area tables were dirty. Cutlery constantly ran out or was dirty. Coffee machines turned off after breakfast no coffee at lunch or dinner. Overall it felt like management were attempting to cut costs Hotel is dated in areas. Everything feels cheap Dining experience and cuisine just awful Drinks are extensively watered down. Cheap prepared cocktails. Most you had to pay extra for. I endured the holiday not enjoyed it. Wouldnt recommend it. Worrst all inclusive resort ive experienced.

Decent hotel, clean environment, and although we were a couple, the hotel is very kid friendly though very busy. The major downside was one of the lifts was not working having to wait long periods to use lift due to volume of people in hotel. Hotel cleaning staff very good and extremely polite and respectful. Food selection was of a reasonably varied selection though a lot not to our taste, deep fried battered broccoli for brekkie. Overall decent hotel.

Just got back from a 10 day holiday and what can I say apart from Thank you to everyone. The animation team are great and work really hard to keep the kids and parents entertained. The kids club was brilliant as they look after your kids on Purpose for a few hours so you can relax whilst they all have fun. Would recommend Cans birthday party as my daughter came out of it absolutely bouncing she’d had that much fun. However it does not stop there, all of the other staff work incredibly hard and always with a genuine smile on their face. The facilities at this hotel are good, lovely indoor and outdoor pools, no scramble for Sunbeds. Rooms are very spacious with everything you would need. The food was enjoyable and something different every night. Would have preferred them to hide the Tabasco sauce from my daughter who put it on all my food. Have to say a massive thank you for making our holiday an enjoyable one.

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed ourselves. The entertainment was a highlight—my children were delighted—and special mention goes to Alberto, who is amazing with kids.
