Aparthotel Grupotel Picafort Beach

Fabulous Hotel. We booked 'last minute' and had a one bedroom 'apartment', rear of hotel outer side and with two balconies but excellent sea view. Immaculate and clean with mini kitchen, not that we used it. Excellent location, just a few steps from the beach (across the 'promenade'). We went All Inclusive, although probably not necessary as so many good bars and restaurants all around and a really comfortable area to walk around. There is only one restaurant and this is on a buffet basis, so slightly limited, but overall no complaints about the food and selection. Only niggle for us was the number of cocktails that were not 'all inclusive' and required a supplement of around 6/7 Euro's which is what you would pay at the external bars. But otherwise we had a great stay here.

We were extremely looking forward to our trip to the Can Pickfort Beach hotel, the reviews were some of the best, so after some research we booked, I even emailed the hotel with some basic preferences, which they positively responded too, However, on arrival they had not done any of the preferences and the room was therefore changed, the side that we were on looked over a bar with a singer until 11pm and loud music till midnight if that wasn’t bad enough the vents from the kitchen vented out which you could smell fat from all day and night!! The room itself self was also very basic and the shower cubicle very small which was difficult to use and leaked over the floor, there was a bottle of body wash on the floor, no other soaps or tissues in the bathroom not the level of a 4 star property at all, be warned if you expect a higher standard, this is not that hotel. On booking in at the hotel it seemed very quiet, no noise or anything, around the pool is the same, it’s dead quiet and with an older clientele there are no activities or music, just nothing, it’s like the hotel has no soul or atmosphere, even on a night! The food, you are expected to stick to strict restaurant times, and herded in like cattle, breakfast 8-10, lunch 12.30-1.30, yes 1 hour!! and dinner 6.30-830. As you can imagine it’s rammed and not a pleasant experience, breakfast is by far the worst, if you’re English expecting a good English breakfast, forget it! It’s very busy and they run out of most things on a morning as there’s one cook cooking fresh eggs, lunch and dinner are full on meals, no snacks or anything quick to eat, oh yeah coffee and cake at 4pm, left over from lunch, not the high level expected with the cost of the holiday. SUN BED WARS, mad rush to bag a spot in the morning, yes very limited sun beds and umbrellas by the very small pool, there is more space but I think the hotel don’t want you staying on site, drinking and eating the profits, avoid if possible if you want a relaxing stay. The only bar is in the main building, a trek from the pool and beach, and not great either. If your English the hotel is catering for Germans and Eastern Europeans, no issues, but we were the only English speakers in the hotel. Compared to other 3 and 4 star hotels we have stayed in this one ranks very low in that order, even though we did our research, I can’t believe ALL the reviews on trip advisor being very positive as most of what I could pick up around the pool the other nationalities where complaining too about the same things. Just one last thing, this is NOT a kids hotel, there is nothing here for them to do, look for a kids hotel so you can enjoy your time away. On a positive note, it’s next to the beach and I think that is what they use to pull people in. So, if you’re looking for an over priced, basic 3 star with little or no amenities or atmosphere on site avoid and stay somewhere else.

Excellent in all aspects. Room lovely. Clean and modern. Food excellent. We went all inclusive and only ate outside the hotel one afternoon and that was because we missed lunch as we were on a boat trip. Staff great. Nothing negative can be said.

Beautiful hotel right in front of amazing beach. The food is best we have ever had and staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern clean and fresh. Location perfect all on the flat. Plenty of nice shops nearby and nice wee cafes/ bars . Beautiful quiet place , view from balcony overlooking the beach and promenade. Highly recommended

The best hotel we have stayed in for quite a while. Apartment room on second floor met all our expectations ( apart from no English tv channels !) tv would have been an assett as we had three rainy days . Apart from this niggle everything was splendid. Great location on the sea front, food very good , cleanliness excellent. Nice pool area . Large bar room, good attentive staff. We will return.
