Cala Millor Garden

-Good location -Nice pool -Nice rooms -Free water stations on every floor -No AC in the rooms due to it being 'cooler outside'. Room was boiling hot, asked the staff for a fan which was a straight no. No intent on trying to resolve the issue. Told to open balcony door when there was party noise both front and back. We raised a complaint to hotel management in the morning and still haven't heard back - 1 week later!! False advertising!!! - You have to pay for pool towels - Every time you want to enter the car park with your car, you have to come inside the hotel to ask them to open the barrier -Our double room was two single beds pushed together -Pool table was broken -Food in the restaurant is mediocre. Lots of options but bland or salty

We stayed four nights at this hotel in mid October. We chose to go all inclusive (as a young couple this isn’t something we normally do) and found the buffet to have lots of choice, your normal all inclusive options with lovely pizza as a constant. Breakfast and lunch was also very good with lots of choice and always fresh fruit. There is a pool bar with a cocktail list, most things are available for all inclusive guests, except for more expensive items and bottles. I’d say it’s really good value for money! The rooms have recently been done up and you can definitely tell! The whole hotel has a very modern and aesthetic feel to it. The rooms are on the smaller side but it suited us perfectly and was very clean. Plus 6 drinks bottles in the mini fridge. One of the main positives with this hotel is the staff, they couldn’t do enough for us! From the check in/check out (luggage room and showers) to bar and entertainment staff (Ally and Cassie were fab and brought the energy!!) they all seem to get on really well which gives a nice community feel. There was live music, quiz, karoke and white party as evening entertainment when we stayed. During the day there was aquaarobics and aqua relax, as well as cookery demonstrations (paella), archery and rifle shooting… big mix! There is 3 pools, there is loads of sunbeds. We found that they were never full, but we didn’t go in peak season. No fighting over sunbeds ever! Really nice location, you’re away from the bustle but only a ten minute walk to the beach and the more touristy strip of Cala millor, we’d recommend visiting the Indian! Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel, it’s great value for money and a really really nice 4 star!

Our overall verdict is overwhelmingly positive: fantastic staff, quality facilities, and an effortless experience that delivers true value for adult travellers. Our check-in was a pleasant experience and Gabriella explained everything we needed to know about our stay and facilities available to us. Thank you. The entertainment and animation team were brilliant from day one. Aly and Cassy contributed to making our stay 5 star. They not only got people involved in daytime activities, aqua aerobics, water polo or rifle shooting for example, but they also hosted live evening entertainment. For those who were physically unable to participate in the daytime then they still enjoyed just watching others have fun. Everything Aly and Cassy were involved in created a genuinely carefree holiday atmosphere where everyone felt welcome without being really pressured into activities." The evening live entertainment was dominated by 'The Jacksons' and acrobats and produced various reviews. You can't please everyone but judging from the well attended events I think they were pretty good. We experienced two Karaoke nights during our two week stay. Talent varied from outstanding through to the comical. Thank you to our fellow international guests for making these evenings memorable! Perhaps for the wrong reasons. Conclusion: Great staff make a great holiday. An ideal adults-only escape. The multicultural guest mix made conversations enjoyable and evenings vibrant, striking the right balance between peaceful downtime and social connection." Facilities for physically impaired or disabled guests were available. Access to the hotel, bar, restaurant, garden and pool area have been supplemented by wheelchair friendly slopes. Three lifts service the six floors from the lobby. The shower in our room was large and the sliding door was half the width of the room, making access easy. However, caution against slipping would be necessary when the cubicle floor was wet. This is unavoidable as there are hygiene issues if a rubber slip mat was placed in the cubicle. Be aware. The key to any issue at this hotel is, if you have a need or problem, talk to the staff, they will do their best to solve or cater for your desire. They want to make your stay a happy one. You unlock better perks, enhanced service, and the best rates." FOOD & Drink This topic can often be contentious, especially when reviewing All Inclusive buffets. In most establishments if you want hot food and an extensive selection then get to the restaurant at opening times. True here too, but as late eaters we were never disappointed. Trays of fresh food were delivered when only a few minutes of service remained. There is a microwave available but make sure you use a smaller plate because the larger ones are too big to fit. Dietary requirements are accommodated- JUST ASK! Don't sit around , moan and complain to others that you only eat burgers and there are none that particular night. The quality and variety of meats and fish was very high, Salad bar, pizzas and vegetarian options were available every evening along with specialities focused on regions such as Asia, America, India, Mexico etc. For many AI packages the drinks will be locally produced but here you can enjoy branded spirits, Beefeater gin, Absolut vodka, J & B whiskey for example, at no extra charge. Again, just ask! The restaurant staff, barmen and chefs, like all the staff we interacted with, were efficient, jovial and eager to please. Thank you everyone. This was our first time to Cala Millor and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. Firstly the beds were extremely comfortable and the room well maintained, the only thing that the group of us picked up on was that it would have been nice to have more storage space but other than that the room was perfect. The bar staff and waiters were constantly exceptional and even stopped to say goodbye to each member of our party as we left on different dates. The bar staff even remembered our orders and I often found myself walking away with the drinks I wanted without even having to ask. In all of the hotels I have stayed in I have always seen a huge rush for sunbeds early in the morning, this hotel is completely different. We had several days where we stayed in bed till gone 10am and by the time we got downstairs there were plenty of beds available around the pool area. We didn’t have one bad meal whilst we were here and got to enjoy every themed nights which were all really good. The entertainment team Ali and Kassy were phenomenal, I have never been to a hotel with an entertainment schedule like this one. Normally my holidays consist of laying by a pool and eating but here I was constantly getting involved with the day time activities, the night time entertainment was great and everyone was getting involved. On our last day they even took their time to come and say goodbye to us. The hotel is well placed as well, when we arrived we thought we would be away from everything but the beach and shops were only a 5 minute walk from the hotel entrance. This is one of the best holidays we have had in recent years and all of the staff at the hotel made it one to remember!

We recently went Friday-Monday with 3 friends and loved our stay here, we loved the fact all our rooms came with big comfy beds and blackout blinds. We also found that there was a goodnrange in food. With some being cooked fresh in front of you, there was always fish dishes, chicken dishes and beige foods for the picky eaters haha. Alcoholic wise the cocktails were mediocre, more drink choice in the inside bar. Bar service was relatively quick unless something was happening, the activity team all seemed really good and lots happening. On the last day we was able to get a late check out (from 12pm to 2pm for €25 ) however if your doing this keep your receipt as our friends didnt and got charged again when checking out! Thankfully we had kept ours. Good thing about the late check out is that you can store tour suitcases downstairs (they have a storage room in both mens and one in the woman's toilets/shower room). Which you have to get a key for to open and unlock. You can also use the showers in their and the other facilities until you leave just dont have access to your room obviously. Just becareful as we was given the keys for the ladies storage room and the showers in there arent covered, so if your given the wrong key just announce your presence to avoid any accidents. There is four swimming pools (3 outside) and amble sunbeds, always able to find one and never anyone putting towels on the sunbeds as no need to. Location wise was walking distance to shops and restaurants, the beach was lovely but very stony and so much seaweed that people were coming out wearing it - not a sea I would personally swim in. All the staff cant do enough to help you/clear your tables however some dont know how to smile.
