Club Cala Romani

We stayed at Hotel Club Cala Romani for four nights on an all-inclusive basis and had a fantastic holiday. For a 3-star hotel, we genuinely struggled to find much to complain about and would happily return in the future. Rooms We stayed in an apartment located in a separate building across from the main pool terrace. The accommodation was spacious, clean and well-equipped, with a separate bedroom, living area, sofa bed, dining table, worktop space, fridge and plenty of wardrobe storage. The apartment had air conditioning and two sets of sliding doors leading onto one large balcony. Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay, with rooms cleaned promptly each day, usually by midday. Food and Drink For a 3-star all-inclusive hotel, the food exceeded our expectations. Breakfast included: * Bacon, sausages and eggs * Cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit * Pastries, bread and toast * Cold meats and cheeses * Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice and water Lunch could be taken in either the main restaurant or snack bar. The snack bar offered: * Burgers * Hot dogs * Chicken nuggets * Chips * Salad * Ice lollies The main restaurant included all of the above plus a wider choice of salads, cold meats, hot dishes and desserts. Evening meals always had plenty of variety, including: * Dedicated children's section * Two pasta options * Meat and fish dishes * Pizza * Vegetables * Soup * Salads * Bread rolls * Fruit * Cakes and yoghurts There was always something available for everyone, including fussy eaters. All-Inclusive Drinks The all-inclusive drinks selection is more limited than you would find at higher-rated hotels, but this is reflected in the hotel's 3-star rating. Available drinks included: * Pepsi, Fanta, Fanta Lemon, lemonade and tonic * Tea and coffee * Various slush flavours * Beer * Sangria * Red and white wine * Prosecco * Gin * Vodka * Rum * Whisky Wi-Fi is available but payable in packages. We simply used our mobile data throughout our stay. Facilities The main pool area is large and split into three sections, making it feel spacious. The pool areas were very clean and noticeably cleaned each morning. There is also: * A smaller splash pool near the tennis courts * Children's playground * Daily mini club * Evening mini disco * Nightly entertainment, typically ending around 10:30pm As we travelled outside of the school holidays, finding sunbeds was never a problem. We were able to find available sunbeds at virtually any time of day. All staff we encountered were friendly, polite and hardworking. Location The hotel is well located, with a direct walkway to the beach taking around 10 minutes on foot. The beach was one of the highlights of the holiday: * Warm, sandy beach * No rocks * Calm, clear water * Ideal for families and swimming There is also a supermarket approximately 3-4 minutes away, along with plenty of souvenir and tourist shops. Views will vary depending on the room and building allocated, ranging from garden, pool and road views, with some higher-floor rooms offering sea views. Check-In and Check-Out Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is at 10:00am. One feature we really appreciated was that all-inclusive guests are given wristbands on arrival, allowing full use of the facilities even if you arrive before your room is ready. Similarly, after checking out, you can continue using the all-inclusive facilities until your departure, which adds great value on travel days. A Couple of Minor Negatives The only improvements we would suggest are: * Many of the sunbeds are not adjustable, although newer adjustable ones appear to be slowly replacing them. * Smoking is permitted throughout the pool area. Personally, we would prefer to see a designated smoking area to make the pool environment more comfortable for non-smokers. Overall We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Club Cala Romani. The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was consistently good, the pools were well maintained, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. For a 3-star all-inclusive hotel, it offered excellent value for money. If you are looking for a family-friendly holiday in Mallorca without breaking the bank, we would highly recommend it.

We had an absolute brilliant time here, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, the pools are fantastic and even has a separate toddler baby pool with a park in the shade, the rooms are very spacious and the housekeepers are lovely. Beautiful walk straight from the hotel along a trail that leads you straight to the most amazing beach which takes 10mins to reach, the food is good, salad is fresh and plenty of fresh fruit and cold drinks. The entertainment is fantastic and our children loved participating in the shows. We loved it and will definitely be returning here xx

Club Romani exceeded my expectations.... After reading other reviews I was apprehensive about staying here but .... I was impressed.... Staff are incredible - Ana at Reception is fantastic Animation Team are brilliant - involving ever with no pressure Food - lots of choice & good quality - especially appreciated the hotplate focused on children - great idea Bar & Restaurant efficient & friendly And the 1 euro Cup system is great Hotel is sparkling ✨️ Rooms exactly what you'd expect in a 3 Star hotel - great bathroom / shower And WOW the pool area is the best I have ever experienced I will return Thankyou Club Cala Romani

I have been here before but it’s my partners first time and normally he never travels to the same place twice, but he has already mentioned about coming back next year. The apartment that we have is amazing, very spacious and is cleaned everyday. The pool area is so clean and this is definitely due to the cup system as when I came here years ago and they didn’t have the cup system there was cups everywhere as well as wasps. So this system is a great idea! The atmosphere here is great. Everyone here is so friendly and the staff are always willing to help with whatever you need. The location is great because everything is close by but it’s away enough that you don’t feel like it’s too busy. My partner went to the beach that is a 10 minute walk away, he absolutely loved it and even jumped off the cliff! So overall, this is a great hotel that we will continue to return to and I would recommend it to anyone! See you next year Cala Romani.

This is one of the hardest reviews to write, there’s so much good but there is also some bad. I’d read reviews before I arrived and was apprehensive, however, on arrival I was pleasantly surprised. The reception area is very modern and looks impressive. Welcome wasn’t exactly friendly , 2 ladies behind the counter were busying themselves so the other would check me in. Anyway got checked in given a room key and a few directions. On arrival to the room I noticed it wasn’t a bed , but a sofa bed. Straight back down to reception for a room change. This time I saw another lady, who didn’t question this and gave me a new room. On arrival to that room , it still had the guests belongings in it, so back down again and she was surprised, offered apologies and another room allocated. 3rd room all ok . Room pretty basic, over looking the front of the hotel , but obviously had a new bathroom fitted which was very smart with an amazing walk in shower. Did notice only 1 plug socket that can be used in the room. No tea and coffee, previous reviews stated you had to pay for a TV remote but was one in my room . Safety box in room but I didn’t use this. On check in you have to leave a €1 deposit for a token for use at the bar ( including tea n coffee). I get the plastic beaker by the pool area but evenings in the bar would be nice to have a glass for wine. There are always queues at the bar, but the bar staff are great and you really don’t wait long at all and there is a strict 2 drink policy , which I think works, others may not. I suggest the staff in the evening bar should have help as there’s a lot for them to do. The pool area really is a highlight for this hotel , the grounds are amazing and there is plenty of sun beds, a majority are set and the back doesn’t move so can become uncomfortable, and I noticed , and copied people were also having a chair by the bed as they couldn’t lie flat all day. Now, the worst this about the hotel .. The FOOD. I’d read some pretty good reviews on the food , but wow. I had 1 decent meal and that was roast pork night. Always served with like frozen Veg and chips or round slices ( round chips !) The children section is far superior, with a choice of 3 pasta’s, burgers nuggets etc . I ate from here 3 times , and I’m not a fussy eater. Breakfast was same daily apart one day it’s fried eggs, next scrambled and so on. Wi-Fi is payable at the hotel, which I paid for 2 days at €8 , worked great by the pool, not so great in room or the bar , kept dropping out.. Unfortunately, the worse thing about this hotel , is some of the guests . It is sold as a budget all inclusive and it shows. Some are feral , continuously drunk , shouting trying to compete with other groups. Was relief when one group went, but unfortunately got replaced by a worse group , witness to drunk women shouting at each other about a bloke. You looked around and saw people’s disbelief at their behaviour. The hotel has massive potential, and looks like they have made a great staff , reception , bar toilets by bar and restaurant all done to high standard. As mentioned before, my bathroom was amazing . It looks like maybe the hotel is trying to improve its image, and it’s doing a good job so far. The hotel is spotless throughout, room serviced every day , clean towels it no clean sheets. I think if you book to go here, you have to remember it’s a budget all inclusive so will come with a few downsides, but in all the hotel is ok. The staff as a whole are polite and hard working . Would I return , No as long as they stick to being a budget hotel, but I do like the obvious improvements they have made.
