Globales Don Pedro

The hotel has a serious dampness problem. During our stay, mold began growing from the bathroom ceiling. After we reported the issue, the staff did not offer us a suitable alternative. We were given two options: moving to a room with a strong musty smell or moving to a room with visible black stains on the ceiling. Neither option provided a genuine solution to the problem. In addition, the receptionist was rude and showed no understanding of our concerns. Ultimately, the mold was merely scraped off and covered with filler, which can hardly be considered a professional solution to the underlying dampness problem. This type of repair provided neither a sense of safety nor any assurance that the problem would not return. I would warn potential travelers to carefully check reviews concerning the hotel’s technical condition and any reported dampness or moisture problems before making a reservation. The conditions we encountered were unacceptable, and the staff’s response fell far short of our expectations.

This is not a 4* hotel. Fantastic location and the rooms are fine if a little small. The food offering is good at breakfast but very poor in the evening. Definitely not 4*. Individual staff members try really hard in the main (reception excluded) but here’s the crunch…..there are so many small things wrong or not addressed throughout the hotel, none of which in themselves are show stoppers, but cumulatively…….There is no evidence of any inspection process to correct these issues or maintain standards and you get the feeling some staff have had minimum training. The things I refer to extend from Reception, through housekeeping, the snack bar, pool area. Generally the bars are fine run by experienced hands Sorry Don Pedro - end of term report - Must try harder!!

Stunning views from every room. The sea is very close by and the food is superb. Convenient transport links and beautiful mountains.

Fantastic stay – we’ll definitely be returning! We’ve had a fantastic stay at the Globales Don Pedro and couldn’t fault it. The whole place was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, and the staff really do go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. Nothing seems too much trouble for them, and their friendly attitude makes such a difference. We were on half board, and one thing we particularly appreciated was the flexibility of being able to swap our evening meal for lunch. As we like to go out in the evenings to eat, this works perfectly for us and is a great option to have. Overall, we’ve really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the Globales Don Pedro to anyone looking for a clean, friendly and welcoming hotel. My husband and I have just returned from Don Pedro hotel and although we had a lovely holiday and the hotel was in a beautiful location with outstanding views there is some points future guests need to be made aware of . The hotel advertised in the brochure DOES NOT have a second pool! . On top of the hotel there is nothing there where the pool should be! . If there was one it would be incredible and they made use of the space with a bar etc for the evenings would be amazing . You are also charged 35 Euros for the beach/ pool towels and every time you change them you are charged one Euro each . The food is absolutely awful in the main restaurant always cold and unappetising however the food in the snack bar is outstanding always freshly cooked and delicious . The hotel itself is definitely not a four star maybe a two star and it definitely needs a paint job ! . The toilets constantly smelt of sewage too in our room . The hotel itself was clean and bed linen and towels in the room were changed regularly . We did have entertainment in the evening which was great but it was shown in the lounge area but not very visible as there were pillars in the way so changing the setting/ location would be better so people could enjoy it more. The umbrellas for shade covering were all broken so need replacing . We would like to thank Sandy the waiter in the snack bar and the bartender down stairs his name began with P for outstanding service .
