Globales Mimosa

I have just returned from a 3 night stay with my daughter. I don’t normally leave hotel reviews but felt I needed to for this one. In my opinion this hotel doesn’t warrant 4 star status. We paid quite a lot for 3 nights and didn’t feel it was good value. The charge for the safe is €11..50 per night, which is extortionate. There is no kettle in the room. There are no pool towels. The token system for drinks was a bit ridiculous. There were no water stations, so you had to use your tokens to get water from the bar. The pool is only open between 10.00am and 6.00pm, which means you can’t even lie on a sunbed before 10.00am. The pool is actually cordoned off at 6.00pm on the dot. The staff were quite rude and didn’t seem very happy. On the plus side, we were only there for 3 nights and the food was good. The hotel is in a good location, Palma Nova is lovely and we had a great time.

We've just returned from our stay at mimosa and to be honest we would definitely return in the future. Right from the get go, the staff were lovely and their service excellent, we experienced zero rudeness. If anything they were so enthusiastic Carolina and the guy with the long hair (sorry i didnt get your name) from the entertainments team were some of the nicest people we've met. All the staff we came in contact with from the entertainment team, bar staff, chefs, cleaners etc were all so friendly and it was nice to see them in passing with them sometimes stopping to talk to us We stayed at the hotel 2 nights for the entertainment, one night was a Bruno mars tribute and the other was Spanish dancing. Both nights were brilliant! The hotel was ever so slightly noisy and you could heard doors banging or the room upstairs moving things around however, its a hotel...it happens and certainly didn't cause any issue with our stay. The hotel is really close to the sea front, Id say 5-10 mins walk with some lovely stops along the way, its also about a 20-30 minute walk to Magaluf. The room was really clean and the overall hotel cleanliness was great. Yes, the pool opens at 10am however, there was no rushing to get a sun bed. We prefered sitting at the tables and chairs. Around the pool was nice and really chilled and plenty of space for everyone! Food was decent, im a very fussy eater and there was definitely something for everyone. Somethings were the same each night but overall there was a good variety. I've seen a number of reviews about the token system and to be honest it took me a moment to get my head around it but its quite simple, you get 2 tokens per person on arrival, you hand them over when you want a drink and when you've had enough drinks you take the cup back and ask for the tokens to be returned. The only negative I have is the lifts, its as if they dont have a sensor and did actually start to close on me while trying to get my case through the door. Overall, a great stay, will definitely be back. Thank you team Mimosa for a lovely stay!

This is my 6th stay in a Globales hotel, but sadly my worst, first the good bits, food was mostly good, Mexican night was fabulous, American night not so good. Rooms good, nice and clean. Now the not so good, Pool area not open till 10am !, I’m on holiday, I want to enjoy a swim before the pool gets busy, it’s too late, drinks tokens, whilst it might save you paying for staff to collect glasses, you don’t put enough staff on to serve everyone, queues in the evening are ridiculous, your staff are so unfriendly, I asked for a coffee one night in a take away cup, was told very rudely I was being difficult by Francisco who then proceeded to moan about me to his colleague, I called him out on it, he was then rude to the customer behind me, stormed into the back and started shouting, very unprofessional, lifts are a danger to all, health and safety is shocking, doors closing on people without stoping, major accident waiting to happen. You really need to address this as a priority.

Its a lovely lovely hotel and we're gutted we couldn't stay longer. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and the strip, but far enough away that there's no noise. The rooms were clean and spacious with a big balcony. The pool is big and clean with plenty on sunbeds, lots of umbrellas .The food was great. Plenty of dishes and most changed every meal time, so you never got bored. For a big hotel they only have 2 small lifts. So around meal times your often waiting for 5 minutes to catch the lift, especially if your on the higher levels. Wasn't a massive issue because we went in the off peak season. I have coeliac disease, and it was my first all inclusive holiday since being diagnosed. On the first night the chef ran me through the basics and how to read the labels. They cooked me fresh gluten free pasta if i requested and if i requested chips they cooked me my own in a new fryer with clean oil. You do have to wait a few minutes but its so worth it. But there are plenty of other dishes and desserts that are naturally gluten free. My only issues was nothing from the pool snack bar was suitable for me, so you have to really fill up during proper meal times and meal times are a buffet which I know some coeliacs arent comfortable with. I had no issues with getting ill though. All round a lovely hotel and would love to stay again!
