Globales Nova

This hotel has a great location. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have all that you need. I would recommend asking for the sea view. Staff were friendly! Marie, the entertainment lady, was fantastic! She made a point of making us feel very welcome, and that seemed to ripple to anyone she came into contact with. Marie was engaging, funny, thoughtful, fun and all inclusive! She definitely made our stay fun.

We are just home from 5 nights in Globales Apartamentos on our first family holiday with a baby. The location, atmosphere, staff, rooms, cleanliness, everything 10/10! We travelled with our 11 month old baby and stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The travel cot provided had a great mattress and our baby slept comfortably. The room was cleaned every day and we were provided with clean towels daily. I was worried about aircon from reading other reviews, so had requested a fan which we didn’t need to use and temperatures daily were in the low 30°C. The location was brilliant, a 2 min walk and we were on the main promenade. Right beside loads of restaurants for breakfast, lunch & dinner. The same 2 min walk and we were on the beach. All very accessible to the promenade from the apartments with a pram. The atmosphere at the hotel was fab! All of the staff were so lovely, especially Maria at the pool bar/restaurant she made us feel so welcome and really made our holiday! It was always really easy to get a lounger and umbrella at any time throughout the day. The lifeguards and entertainment staff were also great at including everyone and one of the lifeguards (I didn’t catch his name) was so great at interacting with all of the kids, he even gave our baby a little pool toy to entertain him! We ate at the pool restaurant most days for lunch and the food was always good. Cocktails and ice cream were fab too! There is a few small supermarkets right beside the hotel where we were able to get baby food, nappies, swimming nappies and any necessities easily. We really had the best holiday and the Globales Apartamentos Nova definitely made it! Will definitely recommend and hope to return!

We spent a week here, with young kids, last week of August. The first room we were allocated we didn't like, it was ground floor and didn't give us a good vibe. But the gentleman on reception didn't hesitate to change us to another room on a higher floor. (We went from room 14 to room 311). We'd paid for sea view room, which I understand is open to judgement, but even room 311 had a huge palm tree blocking most of the view). Even so it was a better room and we didn't want to cause to much hassle. The hotel is in a great location. Easy walks to Palmanova and Magaluf and the beaches are minutes away. Plenty of shops locally and Aldi not far away. Every staff member was excellent, so friendly and always smiling. Cleaning staff were excellent and the room was refreshed more times during the week than we were expecting. The hotel is dated and it's noticeable. It could be amazing with a refurbishment one day. It was functional and it did the job for us. We fully intended to just have breakfast in our room and then eat out for the remainder of each day. Kitchen is ok however very small. We tried a little fried breakfast one morning however worktop space is tiny and only one usable plug for microwave, kettle and toaster. The centralised air conditioning isn't the best in the hottest of weather. With hindsight we should've asked for fans, which I'd advise. Bar area was nice enough, we didn't have any food onsite. Pool was small, the shallow end is very small, the deeper end is probably two thirds of the pool. Pool games should really be kept to kids only, the adults get a bit rough and kids should have the chance to play themselves. Sunbeds ok, look a little dirty and only a handful of old stackable patio chairs. Overall it was a nice stay, it was our base to come back to. We've been here now and we had a good time but there's other choices out there that we'd explore next time around.

Just returmed from a 10 night stay (20th August - 30th August). Room 308 (sea view apartment). Chose these apartments as prefer self catering to other options. The apartments are quite basic but they are spacious. Were spotless when we were arrived and top marks to the cleaning lady on our floor who did a great and was always friendly and in great spirits when walked past her on the corridor numerous times a day. Location is superb with it being on San Matias beach but only a few mins walk from Magaluf so you get 2 resorts for the price of one. A common theme for this hotel was the friendliness and customer service from all the staff we came across during our stay. The selling paint really for these spartments are the views from the sea view side. I requested o high floor on the booking with Tui. Got the third floor (could have been 2 floors higher) but was happy with the view and going to miss being able to walk onto the balcony with a coffee or a beer and look out to sea. Most of the reviews on here are referring to issues with the aircon. This was something I was worried about. In fact I was expecting to walk into a furnace when we first arrived. However, because of delays with the Tui flight we didmt arrive until 2am. We were given a card to activate the electricity.(as is nornal) when we checked in. When we got to the room there was already a card in the slot so with the balcony door having been closed for possibly 12+ hours and it being late t- the air con had been on all the time. Though the aircon is certainly one of the weakest I have ever experienced it did result in the temperature being just about ok on arrival. On the first morning there were a ton of fans by the lift (obviously recovered from departed guests) so I took 2 for our apartment and had one in the main room wherey daughters slept and one in the bedroom. With the fans and ensuring the balcony door was locked shut whenever we left the apartment and went to sleep the temperture in the apartment was perfextly fine during our stay. Actually when the bedroom door was shut woke up in the night and had to get under the covers on a few nights. I will caveat this by stating the heatwave that previous reviewers had experienced had ceased. Instead of temps of 35+ we probably had high 20s/low 30s so perhaps it would have been a different story if it was still that hot. Re the pool - the temperature was great. I was down to get sunbeds at 7am (I stay there until my fam stay down - read my book and enjoy the peace and quiet). It was early but any later are risking not getting a bed near the pool area. Thats my favourite time of day anyway. It is frustrating though that people reserve sunbeds and dont turn up until gone 2pm. Resorts should do something about that. The pool bar was really nice and the food there was lovely. It is a shame the actual restaurant and bar arent used and there is no entertainment. It is a really lovely area/room that and it feels a waste that nothing is done. I hope apartments/resort does get a bit of investment as it does have loads of.potential. Maybe Globales are only bothered about all inclusive resorts. But overall had a reallly nice holiday!!!

Positives are he hotel staff are lovely, its very clean and modern in reception, drinks and food from the little bar are great and fantastic location very close to beach. Sadly though I wouldnt come again as the rooms are really dated and basic. I dont usually bother but this is more basic than a cheap 18-30s back in the 90's!! I got an eletric shock in kitchen, fridge rarely cooled down and shower head repetadly fell on our heads despite being fixed. Main issue is there is no air conditioning. I read a review about this before travelling and was worried so emailed hotel. They advised they do have fully functioning air con. But its not, they have some very old system switched on but it doesnt work at all. They will give you a fan but its just blowing roasting air around. Its so uncomfortable, theres no way you can use a hair dryer or cook in there. Also the pool is very small and always rammed so you cant relax in there. Its old again, edge is not safe imo. The pool games are dominated by adult men so kids get pushed out. Its a shame as its in a great spot with lovely staff but its not the 4 stars its listed as, I would say not even 3 stars. I think people need to be clear before forking out as its not cheap
