Grupotel Club Cala Marsal

We arrived yesterday, we had to wait for a long time to check in as the computers were not working. The rooms are lovely and clean but have no toothpaste or shampoo. And there isnt any water provided either. We have been told we have to walk to go to the supermarket to buy our own as we dont have a car. We are only here 3 days and this is supposed to be a relaxing short stay. We fly on a plane so we cannot take these items with us The reception are very unhelpful and dismissive. Its a pity that cutting costs this way - expecting guests to have to buy basic provisions in a 4 star hotel gives a bitter experience.

Unfortunately, our stay at Grupotel Club Cala Marsal was very disappointing. When we arrived, the room was not properly cleaned — it felt like only a quick check had been done, and several areas were clearly not maintained to the standard we expected. We also found the staff to be quite unfriendly. Communication was difficult because only a few employees spoke English, which made solving problems even more challenging. Instead of trying to help, some staff members seemed impatient or uninterested in addressing our concerns. On top of that, we were given a receipt for products we never purchased. This caused unnecessary stress, and resolving the issue was not easy due to the communication barriers. Overall, our experience did not match the hotel’s advertised quality. We hope the management takes these issues seriously, as the location itself has great potential, but the service and cleanliness need significant improvement.

The refurbished room with seaview was beautiful, you can enjoy the sunrise and the view os the bay with the lighthouse from the balcony. Parking might be tricky during peak season, it was ok in Octocer. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast area was only crowded at 9. A really nice choice for exploring the island and staying away from the party area.

Nicely refurbished, staff are generally helpful, hotel in a super location. Breakfast could be better in terms of crowd handling and food quality.

The location and view are truly amazing, and the staff are very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the food offers good variety and is well cooked. The recent renovation looks beautiful — the spaces feel modern, comfortable, and inviting. However, cleanliness could be improved. After housekeeping, there was a noticeable smell of sweat that lingered in the room for quite some time, which was unpleasant. The indoor pool water was a bit cold, and it would be great to see more vegan and non-dairy options available at the buffet. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel I totally recommend.
