HM Isabela - Adults Only

The actual hotel and location is fine. Food in the morning is lukewarm under the "hot" plates. After the first morning i kept away from the so called hot food and went to the counter to get freshly cooked. Towels and bedding in rooms leaves a lot to be desired. On numerous occasions got stained dirty towels. Bedding was marked and frayed and looked stitched together. Complained to reception twice. Said it would be reported to housekeeping. Great they were! Just kept leaving the stained towels on floor til they got the message. After seeing other reviews in relation to hot food, i wasnt expecting much. Even the responses from the hotel saying thanks for the feedback dont work as they dont actually try and resolve it. One male chef kept disappearing round back of kitchen and not cooking the fresh hot food. Would mark this hotel as a 3 star at best. Also dont use Spar outside hotel. 6L water 4euro. Turn left outside hotel and supermarket on the right at crossroads it is 1.50. All adds up. Also in room if you prefer kettle instead of coffee machine, ask reception. Restaurant outside hotel to the right is great. Food is good and reasonably priced. We only stayed B&B and ate out and found loads of great places to eat including a great chippie at the top strip. Bakery round the corner does deli baguettes.

Lovely hotel excellent location for the beach and bars and restaurants, our room was on the 4th floor so we had a good view of the street below, the pool and part of the beach, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly, if you speak to them, we were bed and breakfast so i can’t say what the rest of the food was like in the dining room but the breakfast was very plentyful and varied we also never had any problems finding a clean table in the mornings as the waiting staff are always cleaning down tables and preparing them for the next lot of guests, 10€ for a beach towel and you get that back when you return the towels at the end of your stay, you can also have a clean one everyday if you wish, safe is also free, there are some lovely places to eat and plenty of different eateries not far from the hotel, and as it is adult only it’s very peaceful apart from when you get a group of adults that don’t know when they have had enough to drink, we only sat around the pool a couple of times because we prefer the beach, but even then we never had a problem getting a sunbed but people do tend to queue waiting for the pool to open so they can get there little spot, which is fine if that’s what you want to do, there is an Irish bar attached to the hotel but it is very pricey, we only had 2 drinks there and it was 20€ , whereas if you go to the town it’s half that price, we only experienced one problem at the hotel when we ran out of water completely, but this was rectified straight the way so all in all a very nice hotel which we will certainly return to in the future.

Just got back from 8 days holiday at the h m Isabella. The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful, just a minute to the beach literally. There is no entertainment, but we went out at night to one of the many bars. The bed was very comfy and the safe was free. You can’t put your towels on the sun beds until 9.00. which is a good idea, but we never had a problem getting one. The only 2 negatives are the food was nice and hot, but the same everyday especially the desserts. The other was we had a coffee machine, but only 2 coffee pods for the whole stay. We usually get a kettle, teabags, packets of coffee, sugar and milk pods in other 4star hotels, which are replenished each day. What was the point of the coffee machine? All in all we had a great holiday and would stay again if only we could have a drink in the morning.

There were pros & cons with this hotel. The pro’s. All of the staff we encountered were very professional & helpful. The location is great as you are in the heart of the resort and you couldn’t hear much music from the surrounding bars. The breakfasts had a good choice . (Only stayed B&B). The swimming pool is heated. The hotel is clean. The beds in the rooms are comfortable. The cons. Lack of sun beds. Unfortunately it appears that the guests would put their towels on the sun beds prior to breakfast & the only occasional unoccupied beds were by the many speakers situated around the sun bathing areas. I believe they have a policy to remove the towels if the sun beds were not being used , however I never saw this policy being adhered too. The hotel plays constant music around the pool, bar areas, breakfast room & reception areas. So if you want to come for peace I don’t recommend this hotel. I enquired if there were any areas where it was quiet to sunbath & was informed it is hotel policy to have music playing. The rooms are on the small side & not much space to put your clothes. Would I return to this hotel? No.

This was our second visit to hotel we were greeted By two very grumpy staff the male was pure rude he and female engaged in conversation barked a few things to us .rooms wasn’t ready no problem we wen out for lunch and were ready at 2pm bar staff and resturant staff excellent food wasn’t the best never hot enough choices odd but we managed we like location good places to have lunch and cocktails not far very clean hotel cleaners lovely well done .sunbeds need to go out for 8/50 or you have no chance lol just please retrain this middle aged grumpy male on reception needs to learn people skill appart from that we loved our 5 nights in sun
