Iberostar Selection Albufera Park

We have just returned from a 6 day stay at Iberostar Albufera Park and what can we say- Wow! We would 100% recommend this hotel to family's, we had the most fantastic holiday. From start to finish we were made welcome. The resort is clean, tidy and offers above and beyond a family's needs. We loved all of the pols, most specifically the rooftop one, which had beautiful views.  The food was brilliant. We were really impressed with the wide selection at the buffet, it was all very tasty and flavorful too. The BBQ was a favorite of ours, with views over the pool it was dreamy. We were also able to book into each of the themed restaurants and this was a highlight of our stay. The food and service in each was just amazing. We were able to try new dishes and enjoy matching themed cocktails too. The service was quick and little touches like the Spanish guitarist in the Tapas restaurant and Tequila shots in the Mexican really made them a night to remember. The drinks offering is great, some self service some bar and table service, all branded drinks and some great tasting cocktails too. We also loved visiting the ice cream palor (which also changed flavour's of ice creams on different days) and the star cafe for a coffee and snack. The hotel rooms are prefect for a family, well laid out with plenty of space and lots of little things such as a bean bag and fridge to make them more homely. There are water stations everywhere too. The location of the hotel is great, less than a minute from the gate to the beach and just a few minute walk to local shops from the front of the hotel too. The staff made this holiday so special, we would like to highlight and thank a few in particular - Anezka on reception, was super friendly and helpful with our requests. Tommy at Guest Services, went above and beyond to help us with restaurant bookings within the resort. He was also present at almost every meal we had and was kind enough to follow up with us with a phone call after our arrival too. Fantastic service!  All of the waiters and waitresses were brilliant, but we would to give a special thanks to Paula in the Mexican restaurant and Parpel who served us drinks (and snacks) in the main bar. Both were superb. Finally a HUGE thank you to the entertainment team member- Adrian. He really did make our holiday one to remember, from the Sangria Masterclass to Bingo Bango and Kahoot quiz. He was personable, friendly and most of all great fun.  All in all, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to return to it again soon!

Beautiful resort with incredible views, fantastic food, and very kind staff. We had a problem come up and they helped us resolve it right away. A great fit for families who want a low key trip where they can relax and not worry about planning a thing.

We have recently returned from a five-night stay at this hotel. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday; however, there were both notable strengths and areas for improvement. We chose this hotel primarily due to its wide range of children’s facilities, despite being aware that it is located slightly away from the main resort areas. Pros: The communal areas are exceptionally clean and well maintained, with staff consistently visible and attentive to cleanliness. The daily BBQ lunch offering was outstanding, with a great variety of delicious food. There are numerous pools, providing plenty of entertainment options for children. Ice cream is readily available throughout the day, which was a highlight for the children. Staff within the buffet and restaurants were extremely helpful and attentive. Evening entertainment catered well to guests of all ages. Cons: We travelled as a large group to celebrate a milestone birthday and had contacted the hotel in advance to request a booking at a speciality restaurant for the occasion. We were advised this could only be arranged upon arrival. Unfortunately, by the time we checked in, all restaurants were fully booked, and staff were not particularly accommodating in trying to assist our group. This was disappointing, especially for a hotel within a reputable chain. Speaking with other guests, it appears this is a recurring issue that requires attention. The selection of all-inclusive cocktails is quite limited; options are particularly restricted unless you prefer rum-based drinks. During our stay, the weather in Majorca was poor, which is of course beyond the hotel’s control. However, there was a lack of additional indoor activities organised by the entertainment team to keep younger guests engaged. While the room was clean upon arrival, the standard of housekeeping declined as the stay progressed, suggesting corners were being cut. The pools are not heated, which may be a consideration depending on the time of year. Our daughter is dairy-free, and unfortunately, suitable ice cream options were not available despite repeated requests. Having since read other reviews, this appears to be an ongoing issue. Overall: We had a great holiday, but there are several relatively simple improvements that could significantly enhance the guest experience and bring the hotel more in line with expectations.
